'Lost' Members

[Pessimistic]

Word is we have 26,000 members which is up on last year. 6,000 approx are 'new' from last year but 9,000 from last year are yet to buy memberships.

This seems to be the same every year.

There are obviously members which buy only every second or third year.

Might it not be better to add an Adult 6 membership to the Adult 11 and adult 16 ?

ie less money ($65) for 6 games only. then some of those people might buy one every year, and the trends would be more predictable.

I know we are adding effective discounting by paying fees in member get member. Perhaps that will work

Good idea Pess. The missing members phenomenon is puzzling to say the least, especially given the on-field success of last year.

I have heard the hawthorns'memberships include a lot of cat's& dog's - How many actually turn up - me thinks not a lot....... Fire up you lot. how can you let the skunks beat you ...........Shame....Shame.......Shame

They sent out a list of 2001 members and unless Felicity Kennet is a cat I would say they are people and members.

But how often would people like felicity go to the footy and swipe her membership card ?

I heard one of the club officials at the bobhill hawks game say that we have 28400 members as of yesterday. I don't think we are going to get anymore at the rate our boys seem to be playing. Hope we start winning soon, if not the above mentioned will be our final figures for the year. Which if i am not mistaken atleast 5000 less than last years figures.
