Negatives......he is playing Divsion 2 in the local Northern Football League with Fitzroy Stars and is hardly setting the world on fire......from the games that I have seen him play, a definate NO for any AFL club. Better off sticking with the local youth IMO

Character is ? - DUI, an ex with a restraining order against him and an average disciplinary record...we place a high rating on this and it has been paying off with kids like Suban, Hill and mature picks Barlow and SCOS.

I would much rather give the spot to a kid or a proven hard worker at local level (Blackwell or Richardson spring to mind).

To be honest, I thought it was a risky but OK trade for them ... if he didn't fall off the rails then they arguably win the first grand final last year. Unfortunately, people like Lovett will always be lowlife scumbags.

Let's just be happy that the Lovett trade changed up the draft order and possibly allowed Fyfe to slide through to us. Who knows, if St Kilda (or Essendon) had kept pick 16, then we may never have had a shot at Fyfe.

Lovett would just intoxicate our tight-nit group and cause dissention and disharmony amongst our group, these are the very type we're trying to weed out of our list..

If he was 22 and had an otherwise exemplary record then yes but at 29 and with a list of behavioural problems as long as your arm it's a resounding NO.

Saw Lovett play for East Perth against Claremont last year. He was worse than useless and fat as a whale. And we can add nearly another 2 years of age for any prospective comeback onto that performance.

Looks and plays like Cyril, got homesick at Richmond, genuine talent.

Absolutely go for this kid over Lovett.
