Luke Ball

do you think i should get rid of luke in my dream team? i got him as a big darkhorse because i belived he was over his injuries and was going to rip it up, but he had 2 possessions in the second half against sydney. I could trade him for dal santo without losing any money now, but dal santo is a more mainstream pick. If anyone could be bothered to give me some advice that would be great... regarding luke ball his fitness his time on ground etc. i went to the trouble of finding a thread that had already been started and not starting a new one like some noobs :).

Would have been good if you had looked for the Supercoach/Dreamteam thread noob!

Sounds like you don't get many points for clearances. He was very solid, but the Saints are doing a good job of managing his game time. You won't find him getting any cheap kicks/marks down back.

Only had 63% TOG on saturday night, which was a large reason why his possession count was so low - Personally I believe that if all goes well, by round 8-10 he'll be playing 85% of games, but I wouldn't have him.

You'd be better trading for someone like Dempsey from Ess, who will play every week (guarenteed bar injury) will average 60-70 and will make you a stack of cash. L Ball is too injury prone/inconsistent atm.

atm i would take hodge over ball for the sole reason hodge hasn't had the injuries ball has...would have been very interesting to compare the 2 now if ball was injury free.

where did you find this out i can't seem to find it anywhere?

He was a step up last night.

Best tackler in the AFL imo, just noone out there is any better.

27 touches.

Still doesn't trust his kicking all that much and isn't the linebreaker he used to be but hey compared to last year he was up 100%.

Hodge might be close re tackling (?)

Bally's looking a whole lot better ... it looks like he's being managed smarter, and we should see even more improvement

Did he have a jab at half time? Those two kicks in quick succession (third quarter) seemed to indicate he is still hampered. His clearances and tackling were pretty awesome though.

Sorry to dig up old posts, but someone should make a Luke Ball '05 highlights video, just like Dal Santos, to prove how good he was back then, when injury free.

This would stop a lot of haters who compare him to Judd and Hodge.
