AFL Club
Collingwood
how goood has be been this year seriously absolute great game tonight, you see him at the bottom of every pack and laying heaps of tackles.

not jumping the gun to early but all australian honours are a possibilty.

24 touches
12 tackles
8 clearances
and a goal
great game

He was great tonight, again, will finish top 5 in the Copeland.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Just one thing, did anyone notice the 3 distinct cuts on his face as he was being interviewed post game.

Guess how many frees he got?

ONE.:thumbsd::mad:

Collingwood has to approach the umps about Luke Ball, he doesn't get the frees that most of the other inside players get in the comp.

He got hit in the head on 3-4 different occasions tonight, and received one free kick.

Love your work Bally.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Was just about to start a thread on him.

I'm not sure where he'd be running in the copeland but I imagine it would be top 5 at this stage, he has been incredible and it is great to see the confidence returning in his kicking and his body.

Remember he plays for Collingwood so he was Probably lucky to even get the 1 Free.

Be Different if he was Playing for Geelong and Worse Number 14

He's so important to us it's not funny.

So courageous and selfless.

He definitely LOVED kicking that goal to night, just couldn't help smiling!

Great to see.

What were St Kilda thinking seriously??

You missed his most important stat for tonite...

1 HO (first for the year)

:D

Loved Ball's game tonight. :thumbsu:

Took one contested mark in the 3rd and I thought it was Cloke the way he attacked it and controlled it.

As was said without Ball we don't get the 4 points.

Was it to advantage? If so, then he was one up on Wood.

Bloke is amazing so hard such a team man

Would this be the first time in his career in a season he has averaged a goal a game there would not be a game this year I don't think he has not scored in (I'm sure someone will correct me)

Without Luke Ball's hard ball gets last night we were gone. Too many passengers, can be attributed to the bye...

I wouldn't like to start the whole Luke Ball thing again but to this day it staggers me than any club could give up a person with the human qualities and playing ability of Luke.

No matter how you look at it, it has to be the trading blunder of the decade.
IMO Luke is as important to us as either Travis or Jolly.

I hate St.kilda as much as the next person, but they didnt give him up. Luke walked when he was told he would be no better then depth and feeling like the coach had confidence in him

But isn't that the point?
They still wanted him on their list though

Unlike buckley at melbourne, or brown at north etc.

They just didn't rate his ability all that highly

If they really wanted him on their list, they wouldn't have let him go for nothing.

We offered up Wellingham and a pick at one stage and they declined (didn't they then go and trade for speed?)

What I'm saying is Luke to them was nothing more than a depth player who Lyon said wasn't needed. The fact that we rallied so hard for him said something to Lyon and he thought he could be a touch greedy and bargain with us. In the end they let him go for nothing on the basis that they weren't losing anything. He was leaving them from the get go and they had their opportunity to get something for him and they didn't. They didn't rate him.

And THAT is what is astounding.

If I could say any two words to Luke right now, they would be 'thank you'. I doubt he understands what he's done for the club and it's supporters. He is an amazing man who just wants to repay the faith the best he can. He's done that tenfold and then some. He is the perfect clubman to a tee. I've never known a footballer like him.

Luke is a brilliant footballer and a quality person, i was shattered with the way the saints handled the situation with Luke, but i am glad to see his body right and him playing the kind of football we all knew he could, even if its not in the red white and black, Although with the way he throws himself around there normally is a bit of red on his black and white...

Thanks you put it much better than I tried to do.
