Most coaches in the modern era are put into two categories - excellent tactician or great people person. Bevo is unique in that he is really good at both.

Hopefully Kane Cornes has five years of infilled returns

I've never bought into the idea that a single premiership makes you a great coach. I mean, does anyone really believe that Robert Walls was a better coach than Ross Lyon?

Doing it twice though? Yeah, that'd make you great. Esprcially when the club you are part of only had a single flag to its name before you arrived.

I believe Robert Walls was a better coach than Ross, because he won that flag with a fairly ordinary side. His little star only rose once, but it rose higher than Ross'. Ask some flagless Saints and Freeo fans. All they get now are articles on how good Ross was. Empty handed happiness.

Bevo seems extremely unorthodox, in coaching methods, team style, way of thinking, interviews. I like the unorthodox in life in general. It should be promoted amongst our kids.

Would sell my soul to have someone like Bevo coach Carlton..

I think some posters personal dislike of the Dogs and their imo false reputation or being Umpires pets cloud their judgemen on how good a coach Beveridge is
Oh my what he could do with your teams list, improve SPS and Dow in different roles. would make you top 4 in year 2 id say

It would be a big achievement to win a 2nd flag given the mass changes that have taken place since 2016. It’s not the same side since 2016 with the exception of a similar midfield. Other that Easton Wood, every single forward or back from 2016 is either no longer on the list or is in an entirely different position.

I think there’s only 13 remaining on the list from 2016, with only 8 players expected to play in both grand finals.

Similar to Clarkson in that the 2008 and threepeat flags were won with a core group of 7-8 players but the rest of the list was entirely different.
