Stiff, you have obviously seen something in him that I havent. I tend to agree with those who reckon he'll get delisted. With Skippy, Shirley, Doughty and co stepping up in recent weeks I reckon Jericho's position on the list is looking precarious. You may wish to disagree but it seems to me he is pretty close to the back of the line for a game with the crows at the moment.
Third year on the list, some useful stints in games last year and with a huge upside in terms of future development, Iam very confident we'll be seing Jericho for quite some time yet.

I can imagine though that Craig has instructed him to work on areas of his game and until he's satisfied that has occurred (aka Ladhams) we won't see hin in the seniors.
At this stage of his career IMO exactly the right course of action - doesn't mean he'll be delisted

I think he'll probably suffer from the Chris Ladhams syndrome. If he puts his heart into it, he could be a permanent fixture in the side and a pretty handy player. Has too much confidence in his own ability and thinks he can rely on that alone when a little bit of hard work wouldn't go astray.
Very good assessment, and now is the time for NC to "enforce" the required changes in his game ;)

Jericho was one of Westies best players today with 4 goals. It's a good start. He needs to keep doing this for a few weeks in a row.

Played a ripper of a game today kicked 5.3 and got about 20 possies in a losing Westies outfit.
And took some 10 odd marks.

20+ touches, 10 odd marks (definetly in double figures) and 5.3. Not a bad return from a HFF. He was excellent today as was Eckermann from Sturt. Both were sensational, Jericho was more of a 4 quarter player.

If Jezza continues playing like he did today he will be a shoe in with the Crows.

Especially if the Crows keep playing the way they do. Based on our forward lines performance today one or two of M Stevens, S Stevens, Watts or Jericho will be in for the Kangaroos

Yeah watched Jericho for westies today - great pair of hands and a fairly reasonable kick

I can also see why people may see him as "soft"

His problem isn't that he is soft is that he isn't an in and under player, he is a receiver, todays game plenty of times he ran staright at the ball regardless of getting smashed and he never opted out of a contest and always took a tackle full on, so his only real problem that I saw that in a pack situtation his is more likely to sit on the outside instead of jumping in at the ball - but he is a forward so probably to be expected !!

but you'd delist all but about 8 players on our list if you had a choice? ;)

Just for the record my list of "shape up or ship out" is:

Begley,
Bock,
Bode,
Jericho,
Krugs,
Ladhams,
Massie,
Perrie,
Schuie,
Shirley,
Skipp,
Smith,
S Stevens.

Shilrey should be safe. Jericho should also be safe this year due to his age. If Clarke wasn't retiring at years end, I would put Biglands on this list. I had high hopes for Krugs and Schuie but time is running out.

Only 13 - :p

If you ignore our 2004 draftees, our stocks of KPP's look terribly thin. The alarming thing for me, is if you add Stevo to this list, as he will probably also retire, we have 6 kpps we will probably lose over the next 2 years.:(

Whilst I am still not convinced that Jericho is going to be an AFL star, his game on Saturday night was better than anything else I have witnessed. Hopefully his game against Essendon will give him some much needed confidence at AFL level. I've have been one of his harshest critics, but i am pleased to say the he is one his way to proving me wrong. I just hope he keeps it up and Saturday night wasnt a once off, in a team with all of the momentum and numerous opportunities for the forward line.

I didn't think Jericho was all that good. But credit to him, he kicked goals and got the job done. But I'd prefer to see him do that in a game that's not a white wash before I get too excited.

He still looked very soft in his attack on the ball and man. But his strength is his leading. He did that well, and was rewarded for it.

Good to see teh West Adelaide connection back at the Crows

Roo using 50 metre lace out passes to hit Jericho on the chest.

Used to love it when Roo did that with Modra.

Jericho looked to be a good leading forward but may struggle when Welsh is back in the side.

Perrie did well as the third forward.

Jericho's form might turn out to be the biggest plus from Saturday night.

It might have been his breakthrough game that he needed to show himself what was required at AFL level & that he was good to deliver.

Yeah he played a good game. I just wish he had a bit of mongrel in him. Too much of a nice guy - seems to be a common theme at Adelaide.

Like I said on other threads, I bagged him early and calling for his dragging, but he did play a good team game and read the ball well coming in, and demanded it.

In fact Kerls just said on his assessment on Saturdays game, Jericho is one to perservere with even with the odd bad game.

Bit of a coincidence.

Thats my two jacks worth. (Who said that).

I thought that Jericho did much better playing in Welsh's role deep in the forward line, I agree that when Welsh is back Jericho will get pushed out to a flank and may struggle again, hopefully not, but I wouldnt be surprised. It could turn into a real dilema as I thought that Jericho looked good in that spot and with more games and more confidence could turn out to be good player.

I had the same thought that when Welsh comes back both or one of them will stuggle. The are the same type of players really, sadly i think they arn't going to perform well together. Maybe the could both be in a pocket and lead in different directions?
