Shackleton only played one quarter and had 5 touches, 4 of them effective. I dunno why Malthouse would deprive a bloke of a match of footy by only playin him for one quarter especially when our season was over.

Shackleton and Mullins might as well have been given a run before the likes of Williams, O'Bree and so forth. With decent game time, we would have been able to establish whether these players would have been able to add something to Collingwood in the future, yet at this point they're still on our list and we're no more enlightened as to their potential than we were at the same time last year.

I was disappointed with MM. I thought once the season was pretty much over unless a miracle happened, that he wouldve taken a look at the list decided who is playing for their future and who is already gone. Players liek Shackelton, Mullins, Shaw, Rowe, Swan, McgGough should all have been given decent runs to show if theyll give some value in teh future. We did blood 10 new players but remember 3 or 4 of them didnt play more than 45 minutes in their only game or in their few games.
He's one Big Mac away from blowing up. He's tough and he puts his head over the ball but unfortunatley that's not good enough in modern day football.

and your calling us duds when we made the grand final 2 years in a row. Only reason we werent in the finals again is cos of injuries to our key players.

i was disappointed with the selections made throughout the season, shack was playing some good footy at Willy but never got a crack, then when he did he spent most of the time on the bench
im not to sure about him anyway, wouldnt be surprised to see him delisted and rookied as has been previously mentioned because he probably deserves another chance...perhaps at a different club

Why would we put all the effort into a kid that lacked self discipline, if he wasn't prepared to get his body right then why persist with him when there are really good kids around who will do what ever is required.
Shack was taking up a place on our list that could be better utilised

I don't think they have the potential to go much further than they are now.
I think what maybe likely is that Shack will go home to Tassie to play for the Devils while Mullins will play some good footy for a VFL club here.
Another club might decide to Rookie list them just to see if they have any up side - good luck to both of them, I hope they do get another crack at it (but somewhere else not at Collingwood).
