*cough*
Unfortunately, Luke will require surgery and will miss around 8 weeks of the season proper.
Tore cartilage on his hip in a pre Christmas training session. It actually happened on a sprinkler at Casey.
Bad luck for the kid.

Was looking forward to him roaming the HF line and hitting some long bombs, guess will have to wait till after the break to see some of this.

So it continues. Our young kids getting injured.

Only Scully and Trengove are left. Please, please stay fit

Gysberts and Fitzpatrick haven't had any injuries this pre-season have they?

Gawn hasn't had any new injuries this pre-season, I wouldn't count the knee reconstruction seeing as it happened before we drafted him.

Its reported over at Land/Ology - so using the 'LOL Collingwood supporter' doesn't really hold much merit. The kid is out for a while - simple as that.

Care to retract?
FWIW, I was not posting to stir shit (like you did) but to advise the Dees supporters about one of their young guns.
Enjoy the Red Card though.

Unforgivable, those kind of accidents should not be allowed to happen to professional sportsmen, what a waste of four months, all that pre-season work undone.

But it's spilled milk now, maybe Luke can work on his biceps a bit more...

It was leaky/faulty and he just slipped on it.
Hard to explain, but his foot slid then grabbed on the plate, whilst his body kept going. Kinda like hitting ice.

Thats not a great explanation I know.

No I understand what you mean.

Ok sounds a bit unlucky but might have been mitigated with a cover that didnt become overly slippery when wet or something like that.

Either that or not have a leaking f%$ing sprinkler on the ground while we're training.
