Took a strong mark and kicked a good goal early. Definitely a player worth having on the list.

I didn't watch too closely last night, but from what I've seen he can play but I'm not convinced he and Barry Hall in the same team can work. I think he and the club would've both benefited from trading him.

I agree with that^

He definitely looks more at home when up forward, but so does Grundy.

I know you don't like LRT but this really has nothing to do with him. In my opinion Vogels shows nothing being a backman.
Yes that is granted. But surely there is someone else. Maybe move Teddy to CHB and have Schmidt or Ablett floating as a loose man in defence.

Mathews is a far better tagger than Ablett. And thats not on bias. Luke has really underperformed to his potential. Needs to start having a big influence. Benny on the other hand just needs to have any sort of influence. Still I think his negating work on an opposing star goes unnoticed by people on here.

Luke Ablett was playing some good football near the end of the last year, unfortantely we all know what happened to him in the GF though. I think he had a really good game on the weekend and i think he's going to be one of our big improvers this year.

I like vogels, but heath grundy has got to be our next gun forward, when he's fit, and the fact he's a bit younger and probly with more improvement has him ahead of vogels....luke ablett's triffic, i'm not a ben matthews fan, and don't worry about LRT, if he can get fit and stay fit, he will become a very very good CHB, he needs time and more footy under his belt but he'll make it.....and yes, jesse white also looks the goods

I think both Vogels and Grundy have the potential to improve, but i reckon Vogels is ahead of Grundy. Obviously Vogels has more senior game time than Grundy, but at times i find grundy inconsistent, but that also goes to Vogels, both need to find consistency. But i find that Vogels would be a our next gun forward.

The only way for LRT to improve is to actually give him some more senior game time. Thats the only way i reckon. Moving him into the seconds won't do anyone justice. LRT to further improve and play like the way he played in the 05 GF. :thumbsu:

Grundy >>>> Slowgels

As much as some of you seem to love the boy, i really think Grundy has a huge future at Sydney, but i can't see Vogels getting much better (if i turn out to be wrong, i'll cop it) but i don't think i will be. For me, Vogels seems like a poor man's Luff, and even ole Troy boy wasn't one of our most graceful footballers.

Players in that medium, strong, O'Keefe type mould, always seem to need time to develop, so it'd be unfair to cast them aside too early, but IMO Grundy is the far better prospect. Expect LRT to improve this year too, i still have faith in his ability as a defender.
