Well what with it being young Lynch's first game and all, I'd exhort everyone to play very close attention to the way he plays, what he does, how he sings the team song (Now whose being overconfident??) etc etc. Reason being, that after his first game sound like the most important time to hand out the lad's new nickname. After the game, if anyone has nominations, wack them up, and then we'll have a poll to see what he shall be known as henceforth...

I'm sticking with Fried Ly-chee's and Ice-Cream but will be willing to change it to something more football related if he does anything spectacular tomorrow.

Is it any wonder Toia got dropped and the Hawks are doing poorly? :D

I believe I shall call him....Mini-me...no, hang on, wrong script...

I shall call him "Mobs" until further notice. Subiaco could do with a Lynch Mob, it would top the whole "Cauldron of Fear" thing off quite nicely...

*Laughs out Loud*

Great joke Mr Eagle.

I tipped you lot to win against Carlton so don't let it slip.

He deserves to play against adelaide- that was a very impressive, competent first game for the Mobster. The big thing was that in a similar vein to Judd, he didn't look at all intimidated to be playing AFL, and as such, i think he could very likely slip into the rotation without a lot of hassle. His big asset is that he can play forward or back- with the current dubiousness of Glass, Lynch could earn his pay either in the forward line or at full back.

The only thing which worries me is that Gardiner, Wilson, and Siera are all chances to come back for Ade. If available, Woosha is certainly going to want to include Gardie and Wilson, simply because they are high profile, talented players. The question is, is if they come in and Lynch stays- who goes out. I have a hunch that Siera's hamstring may be given an extra week to mend, so if we're just dealing with Gardiner and Wilson... Gardiner comes in for Gaspar, and fulfils the same CHF/Ruckman role. In theory, Willow should sub with Embley or Haynes, but I can't help but think it might be more sensible to also drop Glass, since the Big Q gives us another option down back anyway.
Finally, both Braun and Chambers are going to be looking for spots. I don't know if Worsfold would agree, but my tip is that the side should cut some of the young bloods, and go in with our absolute best team against Adelaide. Make no mistake, this will be about as tough to win as Brisbane at subi, and we're going to need all the stars out on the paddock.

hopefully after the break we are going to have a (near) full list to choose from. if lynch did make the cut i'd be interested to see him playing in the back. probably at the expense of glass.

If Braun and Chambers are looking to come back into the side they will obviously have to replace some midfielders....Wooden is in great form and will be a perfect matchup for McLeod. Cousins obviously wont be dropped, neither will Kerr, Matera, Fletcher, Wirrpunda...who does that leave? Banfield and Judd...Judd has been a little down lately, only had like 7 possessions against Carlton?

Some tough calls, glad im not a selector.
