T'was a fantastic goal, no doubt about it. But for it to win Goal of the Week it'd be up against that cracker of a goal from Harry O'Brien.

Still it's great to see that Macca still hasn't lost the magic.

Pretty simple goal. No way it will be GOTY...I believe that honour should go to Douglas, for that outrageous inverse checkside from the wrong side of the ground for a right footer, that carried the goal line on the full. Physics says it just doesnt happen...

Nice goal yes, but GOTY? Not a chance. There would have been 5 goals in our epic encounter with Essendon which were better than that. Now THAT was a truly freakish display of goalscoring from both sides.

better than most. problem is that GOTY is based on the kick, and not how you get it. Maybe 5 guys in the league would have kicked that goal, that's cos that's about how many would have roved it like that in that much traffic at pace in the first place.

Im just happy with his 4 quater effort, his intensity seems to be up and he seems to be tring to do more of the 1%. Infact I reckon his last 2 games have been his best since the Collingwood game in R1. Perhaps staring on the bench, a few weeks ago seems to have given him a message.

He turned back the clock today and showed that he still has it.

Good goal, but there's usually a couple as good or better than this one every week.

Nice to see a bit of the old magic from Macca though.

Great goal in a pressure moment when we most needed it, that was the most important thing. The reading of the ball off hands was also fantastic.

As far as execution of the skill goes, if you asked Mcleod I would say he waould expect to kick at least 50% of those.

Best thing about the goal is that it showed Macca is still enjoying his footy!
