as long as he's right for round 1 of the main stuff it doesn't bother me.

I'd like to see more of the non regulars playing in the Harry Potter cup and IMO MacDougall is definetally a regular. Although being a young guy it would be good to see him get more match practice but its not necesarilly a neccesity.
 
Said on the news that he had been declared fit to play.

So that's good news, will be good to see him have a run against quality opponents as he has definately impressed on the training track.

Great kick, great mark, it's a start, now he's got to grab his chance with both hands and become a top line player.

It certainly gave me a few moments stress- I don't think its the end of the world though- dislocated fingers can be very minor things, so I'm hoping for the best.
 
Now I see why you guys rate him so highly. I watched a bit of the first quarter on TV. A likely sort - first time I've actually seen him play. What number was he last year? Is he the first to get #2 since Kemp bowed out?

Gotta ask - how much bigger can Benny-boys arms get??? :eek:
 
Having said that - he played in the last derby didn't he? Was he the one who played on with a broken jaw or something like that? Didn't notice him then (maybe it was the over-consumption of alcohol....:o :o :o ).

The only think I would scream Go Benny for would be hoping he'd grab Buckley by the shorts as he's running past, and give him the wedgie of his life. In that regard Benny "Big" Boy was a complete an utter failure...

I actually find myself preferring Collingwood to your mob - I was quite disappointed with the quarter time score... until I see Harry Highpants mark 2, and then I realise that my hatred for the bloodwipe boy exceeds my dislike for the blue and yellow peril - and the scales tip back in your favour.... just.

But seriously Streaker - you are becoming very tiresome with your well overused line. If you would prefer that I only come here to troll and bag your club then I'm happy to oblige. I personally would prefer to be able to come here to discuss footy issues and pay the odd compliment (if I believe it's warranted). Let me know because I'm quite comfortable to go down the road of:

Doogs will only ever be a half-assed FF, can't kick straight to save his life, and if you think Johnson is the answer to your massive KPP problems after only one game then you are blind as well as stupid, Lynch is a big oaf who has no finesse and will never be able to sustain anything of quality, Gardiner is a coke-king, Judd can't play with a tag and Benny and Jako are on steroids.

Happy to go either way.
 
That was a bit harsh.
First you're seeing why we rate Doogs so highly, then you're saying he's half-assed?!? It's only early days, in a few years time he'll probably be up there with the best tall fowards in the competition.

Each time I mention the eagles in a remotely non-negative manner, WCS is all over it saying "you really want to be an Eagle dontcha? You love Benny dontcha?" It is getting VERY, VERY tiresome... :rolleyes:

I was merely saying that I enjoy talking footy - and if I see something about Wc that I feel warrants a compliment or a positive comment, then I am happy to make that comment. But if his tiresome remarks are going to follow every thing I say about your club or your players, then I'll have a go and trolling and bagging out your club and players instead.

I'd prefer to keep it a bit more mature, but I can play immature too if he likes.
 
I agree IP, there's a difference between constructive criticism and trolling, I should know, i'm guilty of both.

I don't like doing that, kinda annoys me when everything turns into a "come back when you win a premiership" or whatever, instead of actually focusing on footy.

I seriously don't mind a bit of good-natured stirring, and a bit of the "you can't seriously think you're better than us" etc, etc.... (or conversely - "you can't seriously think you were worse than us in the dark days of 2001..." :o ;) )

And who else do we really have to play these little mind games with?? We see your club every night on the news and each day in the paper, just as you see ours. After Freo, the club and players I know most about is WC - that comes simply from living in WA.


It's just that at some point it gets to a stage where the same thing repeated over and over and over and over and over is just not funny any more...

Carn Freo!!! and may the weevils fall in a big pile of camel crap and fail dismally in all their pursuits during this and the next 100 years... :p

I get the same when I post on your board. The difference is that your mob (and you) have told me not to post on your board and I have complied (until Derby time) whereas you feel so at ease with us you actually start threads on our board. I have no problem with Purple people posting on our board and I offer mild banter in retaliation rather than sayin "get back on ya own board".
