new orleans saints,philly eagles,
This years version looks significantly better esoecially in the superstar mode where you actually earn points for your actions on the field and then use said points too purchase upgrade packs for all of the available skill catergories ie ball carrying, catch, speed and so on.

Dont know if you still are a walk on starter but if these nwe features are as good as they look then it shouldnt be too much of a problem.

And you can also play as a brand new player ie make yourself or a friend, you can alsoplay as any current player or current rookie ie rg3 ( robert griffin the 3rd ) or andrew luck right up to the veterans like ray lewis or tom brady and finally you can play as legends ie sanders, madden, peyton and so on.

What are everyone elses thoughts on not only the new superstar mode but the game itself.

This is the cover for madden 13

Looking forward to this! buy it every year but this year they may actually deserve my money!
First time in a long time they seem to be making more than just cosmetic changes to the franchise.
The new physics(infinity engine?) look great and the proposed changes to the Franchise mode (on and offline) have me sold...
Havent really bothered with superstar mode myself for last few years because i have found it so pathetically thin when compared to the MLB the show and nba2k versions so i welcome an overhaul of that mode and will certainly give it a crack!

I'm not going to get my hopes up on superstar mode just yet, seems like this mode just gets worse every year since its inception to the Madden series, i still believe the first superstar mode introduced in 06 has been the best one to date.

Infinity Engine excites me a little bit more than the Connected Careers does, the game just looks so much more fluid and fun now.

The thing that i like the sound of the most in connected careers is the fact you can mix it up and (hopefully) get a bit more longevity out of it...playing the old dynasty mode i always found myself getting a little bored after a few seasons. The fact you can now be a coach for a few seasons, then retire him and then play solely as a rookie in a "be-a-pro" style for a few years then do the same with a veteran or a legend like Joe Montana, all in a league that can also work as an online dynasty with friends is far more appealing than i think anything weve seen in a long time (touch wood, fingers crossed)

looking forward to this game. I havent played Madden games for about 5 years so Im sure I will be blown away. Oh and im a Detroit Lions fan, and the team doesnt completely suck now

I've always been a gameplay over modes kind of guy :).

P.S, I like your choice of teams ;)

Found this today, pretty sure they have also done the QBs as well. Tad devastated CJ2k isn't in the top ten despite destroying my fantasy team last year.

Happy that Jones-Drew is number the no.1 rated running back.Going to make using my Jaguars a hell of a lot easier.

Very excited for the connect careers as well. Wouldn't mind trying it online ccm with other Australian users. I;m on 360 if anyone is interested PM and we could try organising it early so we can hit the ground running when Madden 13 hits the shelves

Looking on the US PSN store this morning, I came across a Pre-Order option for Madden 13. It was for $59.99US, so significantly cheaper than anything in Australia, and most likely cheaper than online retailers.

Would there be any disadvantage to getting this US version of the game? Isn't the only thing region locked DLC, which isnt even a thought for me.

I saw that too sblack, I think it might be for the digital download though. I'm not sure if that effects you or not though. :)

P.S, The demo is really good.

Yeah I don't mind Digital download if it's that much cheaper than physical

Anyone Else got the Demo?
Must say im impressed. Player models and animations look improved and the physics are great.
Must admit after the first few plays i was a little suspicious but after i'd turned the gamespeed down the tackling and collision animations were, for the the most part, spectacular.
Post play, if there is a pileup, you can get a little bit of fifa12 style ******ed player spaz out as they try to disentangle themselves.
The precision passing is awesome.
Early days but looks helluva lot better than last year

EDIT:Watching a couple of vids on youtube of ppl's impressions of the demo and saw some really cool stuff including offensive linesman and tightEnds moving upfield and chop-blocking linebackers and Marshawn Lynch getting gang-tackled onto a prone team mate then jumping to his feet and taking off again as he wasnt technically down in the tackle...really cool stuff.

I didn't enjoy running the ball much in previous Madden games, but it's so fun now. You really have to pick the gaps. Also, the presentation is good. A nice refreshing change in commentary.

You wont be able to access the dynamic stat changes as the player rating change during the year depending on how the players go in the real games
