Malcolm Blight

I was reading an interesting article the other day at realfooty about Malcolm Blight, http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/20010210/A21193-2001Feb10.html
I've been a fan of Malcolm Blight and knew that he's a bit a eccentric but was astounded by some of the things he's done over the years to his players ( 'Pathetic' Pittman, putting the short Trent Ormond-Allen in the ruck for a quarter because he broke a team rule, leaving a fit Lucas Herbert on the bench for an entire because he didn't agree with the match committee that Herbert deserved a match, plus many more). He's ridiculed and embarassed players other years but I guess he has managed to get results.
I think he'll a big influence at St Kilda and St Kilda will be big improvers this year, though I wonder which players will become a target of Malcolm's.

Yea I read that as well and thought it was one of the most interesting accounts about Blight I'd seen. I mean, I thought he went over the top on a number of occasions but when they are all listed, well, it makes an interesting read. Have you sent it to the Crow board. They love him...still

The most brilliant thing about the Ormond-Allan stunt is that he actually beat Everitt in the ruck, and the Crows got the run on in that game.
