blighty certainly was a legend, theres no doubting that. But we are completly justified in ranting against him as a commentator. Yesterday was an absolute embarassment to commentating, he was more biased than that idiot peter wilson. At one stage he didnt even bother pretending to be impartial, just starting reffering to adelaide as WE.

its a 2 team sport dont let your bias just support 1 team should commentate objectively very dissapointed by 10 to not put neutral commentator someone not associated with the club.

But he's not a legend as a commentator. When employing commentators there should be less importance placed on someone's playing/coaching career and more on their commentating ability. Good player/coach does not equal good commentator. I don't think he is an idiot but he shouldn't commentate, at least not Crow's games.

He is no different to any of the other ex players who never did nothing wrong when they played and always know the right thing to do in any situation.IMO the weagles sydney game was bias,they obviously thought they would over run the swans.there were two smothers within a few miniutes of each other and it was brilliant smother for the weagles and not one word said for the swans one.When is buchanan going to get the praise he deserves?Judd didnt quite hit it as sweet as he wanted but someone elses was a shocking kick.

Well it's a whinge but it's not pathetic. Go back and watch a replay. Blighty spent his whole time talking about the Crows. He barely mentioned Freo. All three who were watching at my place thought the same thing.

I suspect that's because what he knows about Freo could be written in capital letters on a panadol tablet.

You can hear in Blights voice what the AFC means to him but it dosnt get in the way of his observations of the game that he is paid to report.

This game was tricky as once the game settled down one team dominated so naturally the commontators are going to speak highly of one.

Plus commontators who are fair or rightfully praising of Adelaide are few and far between,thus when you encounter it it appears different.

The key to biased commontators who cant control there alliagences is in 50/50 games or still praising a team despite going crap.

The one I get sick of is listening to the call when the game is at subi and all the WA commentators are whacking off over freo or eagles. Commetti even does it on occassion and he is the best commentor going around. The reason it probably happens is they know the clubs and players intimately from their involvement. The WA commentators talk to the WA players every week on news etc etc and blighty was with the club for a few years. All evens out in the long run.
