Reports of Karl Langdon finding out from sources of verbal agreement for Mick to coach at Richmond next year, also sightings reported on radio of Mick walking out of a meeting at Punt Rd with Tigers president Gary March.

Would have thought Mick would have more important things on his mind just at the moment if true. :thumbsd:

or its all just a load of bullshit

Journos making shit up, what an astoundingly new concept

You know what it could possibly happen but Karl isn't always on the money. He had us as a lock for Cousins at one stage last year. Things can change.

On the Cousins front maybe he was at Punt Rd just checking in on his former charge. ;)

Karl Just promised this is serious stuff
SeriousCat.jpg

seems he has serious cat on his side

I would say this is the probable outcome, Mick has said if he is not coaching Collingwood next year he would still like to coach somewhere else, he spent his playing career at Richmond, Buckley is getting itchy to coach, Collingwood would hate to see him coach anywhere else, we saw on Channel 7 last Friday night there seems to be a bit of niggling animosity now between Buckley and Malthouse particularly from Malthouse's side which is quite weird. Malthouse has been at Collingwood for 10 years and not delivered a flag, a long long time in coaching terms without a flag. It just all adds up.

I would say out of these two:

1) Malthouse coaching Collingwood next year.

2) Buckley coaching Collingwood, Malthouse coaching Richmond.

Number 2 is more likely.

100% agree. How about we all chip in for the taxi ride over to tigerland for MM. Ill personally wave goodbuy.

Screw the taxi money, Punt Road is about 500m from the Lexus Centre, MM can walk to his new home, hehe.

I love these Karl Langdon stories, so funny, he has taken an educated guess on what might happen, now all he needs is for the pies to miss the 8 and it will come true.

Seriously, Mick would be trying to concentrate on Collingwood for now and this year. And he wouldn't want people talking about him going from Collingwood and therefore not being wanted, so why would he even be seen at Punt Road? Surely that's laughable. You'd think such conversations would be done at a restaurant, in someone's house, etc.

I get the feeling MM will definately coach Richmond next year, Its a matter of whether we want him or not thats the bottom line. He will know by at least August or Mid September whether he goes on and it depends on results.
We go so so and hell be told in August, we really step up and a decision will be a bit later.
But i DO know his management has been contacted by Richmond that is 100% correct.
Its all up to the club i guess but the fiery attitude and demenour of late from Mick would suggest he wants to stay and badly.
While Richmond would offer him long term security for at least 3 to 5 years i think he feels success is not that far away with us and it would KILL HIM to have say a Bucks come in and maybe win one within 2 or 3 years.

If we win the flag, I dare say MM will be asked to stay......

I'd say any improvement on last year and he'd be asked to say, that means we must make the preliminary final for Malthouse to keep his job if that criteria is in place.

i reckon its 50/50 if collingwood dont make at least the preliminary final or grand final i would give buckley a better chance to be at collingwood than malthouse, even maybe mark williams to coach next year is not out of the quistion

If my uncle had **** hed be my aunty. Ifs a big word but IF he delivered a flag this board would turn faster than Lindsay Lohan ill tell you that much.

ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha funniest post ever! Bookmark it, that cant be beaten!!!!

I was dead against MM leaving until Bucks became a serious candidate. He is now a serious candidate. Change is as good as a holiday. We have had a 19 year one.

Bring on Bucks. At least he will ot be cryptic during post-match press conferences and will hopefully use the corridor.

And also when a player is getting killed by an Opponent, he will be quick enough to realise a change needs to be made!

I smell the truth in this ^^^ post. And I've just heard it rumoured on the radio that the Club has approached Gavin Brown re: the senior coaching position next year.

He has to make the finals at this rate, even thats not a certainty given the win lose thing we are going thru every week.

St Kilda will be another benchmarking game, we beat them a few times last year, lost that final, I think they will have improved where I think we have remained stagnant or slightly gone backwards this year. Either way, a big St Kilda win will show us where we stand against the more likely types. The Geelong game didnt enlighten me as I thought MM coached us well that game and if it wasnt for skill errors we may have snatched a close win

A win for us against St kilda will just add to the confusion of where we really are at this year. But you never know.

Not sure if Brown would be in the mix, never gets mentioned in the media and I am not sure if EM would want a quiet type as a media performer. But once again stranger things have happened. Brown had a quiet determination as a player, no fuss just straight at it. Loved him as a player, hard as.
