I advocate football clubs focusing on their core business, running a football club, not sideshows like this (pubs) particularly risky ones like the last few purchased. Eds lost us what 9 - 10 -15 $M ?

Its a risk not worth taking and never was. Ed's not a businessmans arse ho le though (unqualified journalist) and hence wouldnt and didnt know.

Yeah i've noticed that too. Both MM and EM are separate issues in alot of ways, maybe not mutually, but they certainly deserve to be judged separately. Problem is a few posters tend to get involved in any debate on the topic (some i'm sure are well meaning others who knows what their agenda is) and regurgitate the same argument again and again. It really strangles any thread on the topic and stifles any new ideas that might be brought up.

They are not seperate, they are quite related.

EM bought MM to the club, ok.

MM made us competive, EM lapped that up.

MM failed to get us more than competitive, EM sat on his hands.

11 years in for EM, 10 years in for MM and they still havent delivered and never look like it.

MM contract ends 2009, EM must make a decision.

EM up for re election December 2010.
