I'd take matthews ahead of malthouse any day thanks.

i think we need to go young and fresh coach with some balls rather than the old horses.

How come no one suggests Rawlings as caretaker or likely replacement.
Why is he not as good a choice as campbell?

They really rate Rawlings at the club. Wouldn't surprise me at all if his name is thrown up.

who said he was a good choice 1 year and 3 games in the system does not = senior coach

Get him.

10 years of not being able to beat the zone and playing out on the wings.

Richo would be trying to mark in the stands!

I wouldn't mind him but I would prefer Hardwick.

As for Ralwings it would not suprise me if he becomes "caretaker coach" As someone said the club rates him.

how come no-one ever mentions David King as a possible successor/caretaker coach? He'd coach the pants off either Campbell or Rawlings IMO. Was a feisty dual premiership player who read the game well ... and loved his call last year on Bowden after the Rd 3 Collingwood game:thumbsu:

What the hell has Mr Hardwick done that makes him worth a punt? He happens to have been an assistant at 2 clubs that won flags. That doesnt mean he is going to be any good on his own.
...And to all the morons still carrying on as nauseum about Sheedy coming to coach Richmond, just have a look at Essendon over the past 5 years to see what that would bring.

Malthouse? Now you're talking. That is the sort of coach that has a proven history and doesnt put up with players crap. You play his way or you dont play, simple!

Come home to Tigerland Mick, some of us still remember you running around in the yellow sash

No thanks - have you seen the way our backs man up when things aren't going well. Isn't that the first thing you do?

I am so hoping we get Malthouse (if Matthews is unavailable). For years i have thought that Collingwood were ordinary yet they have had success (prelims/granny's). Cast your minds back to some of the chops he hadplay in those two Grand Final losses to Brisbane. Isn't that the sign of a quality coach.........someone who gets the best out of players and gets them playing above themselves (ala Collingwood).

Ofcourse. He's a hard coach who scares the living daylights out of players. ie: they always put in 100%.

He develops players better than any coach. Including players who were drafted at obscure picks.

Given the high draft picks are not going to be available for some time we are stuck with our list to a certain extent.

Need someone to come in and get performance. Im keen on him but with Sheedy there I dont see him agreeing. Egos. Mick likes underlings.

He looks an angry prick in the box looking at him tonight. Id like to get him away from Collingwood. I dont believe he has any real sentiment towards Richmond so we would need to show him an exciting prospect in regards to facilities and people backing him.
