Given the ongoing problems at United, I figure a thread on the main board could be useful.
There's a lot wrong at United. Ownership, expectations, players.
I think the ownership is the biggest issue and until that is fixed/they sell/change their mindset, United will continue to have these problems.
Maguire simply needs to be sold - and would be at a loss - but I can't see the owners being thrilled about it, and perhaps the only realistic taker could be Newcastle. Should Fred be retained? Depth? Moved on?
Is AWB fit to play RB for United?
Signing Ronaldo was an enormous mistake too. It was done on nostalgia IMO, and he has hindered them for the most part.
It just seems a lot of their personnel aren't up to the tasks being asked of them.
I do wonder how long it will take for them to get back fighting for titles etc. I don't think a good manager is the only thing they need to sort themselves out.
