soccer. online managment game. pretty good.

i joined it probably a year or so ago and at the time entry was free, but im not sure if it still is (i assume it probably is still free)

basically u start off with a team in lower division australian league (division 5), with pretty crap players/stadium/facilities, and u have to play league games to try and get to higher leagues. Your player form is maintained by playing friendlies (u can play friendlies mon - fri, you can only make money off the first 10 friendlies u play, so u usually play 2 per day). League games in the australian league are on sundays.

Sorta hard to explain without making a post over a page long.... and cbf doing that...

the game is massive in europe. 435000 members, and not even 3000 members in australia.

You can buy players from the transfer market, players who have been listed for sale all over the world, although u can only have i tink 3 or 4 foreigners in your squad.

It's pretty simple for a manager game (if you compare it to something like football manager 05 or champ man, but the fact that its played in a competitive online enviroment makes it bloody hard. I am currently up to division 3, and am struggling. (division 5 you mostly encounter robot teams that dont develop there sides, basically just to fill in the numbers).

You look in the Australian premier league and u wonder how the ******** they do it, their worst player is 10 times better than my best..

It's not free anymore anyway I used to play but i eventually starting getting bored of it, I was in Division 2 and stopped playing and ended up going bankrupt so I have to pay real money to start playing again.

well i dunno about joining fee....

i know they do have fees within the game, leagues and friendlies are free, but you also have other options u have to pay for

eg. Private leagues (in case u wanna test ur skills against some of the other sides that arent in ur league), private cups, cups setup by the website (which are absolutely impossible to win cause theres always thousands of teams)

I transfered $10 from my credit card probably about a year ago... and ive still got $2 or $3 left.... not too bad...

its like $1 for every friendly league/cup u join, but like i said i dont know how much the joining fee.. coudlnt see it being more than $5 though... id assume there'd be some way of playing the game as a trial or something b4 paying otherwise it'd be a pretty bad move....

but i guess the popularity in europe allows them to charge so i dunno..
