What a whore :p

After last years signing that never eventuated, I'm not getting any hopes up til he's holding a shirt on the official team site.

So far he was wanted to play for Arsenal, Spurs, in the Serie A, Barcelona, Madrid, and now United.

hazard? gaitan?

Hmm. Hard to pick out a backline from that one.

I would wanna give game to the likes of Smalling (assuming he's over that head bump) and Fabio games, just to keep the squad fresh, but at the same time, I wanna put out the strongest XI we can muster.

Need to win my a margin of two to go through, in case anyone forgot.

Berbatov set for Man Utd exit

Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed Manchester United's record signing Dimitar Berbatov is set to leave Old Trafford in the summer.

Berbatov, who cost £30.75 million from Tottenham in 2008, has found first-team places difficult to come by since being left out of the United squad for last season's Champions League final defeat to Barcelona.

And, on the eve of a last-16 Europa League second leg tie with Athletic Bilbao, Ferguson confirmed the Bulgarian striker is set to leave in the summer.

''His concern is not getting first-team football,'' said Ferguson. ''At 31, he is looking at first-team football. It is difficult for me to guarantee that so it could lead to him looking elsewhere.''

Berbatov's contract is due to expire in the summer, although rather than let the former Tottenham man leave for nothing at the end of the season, they will trigger a one-way clause to extend the deal for a further year.

That would mean United would get a fee for the player, who was linked with former club Bayer Leverkusen during the January transfer window.

However, the Red Devils hierarchy know they would get nothing like the mammoth sum they paid for the striker, whom Ferguson had such high hopes for when he arrived but has never quite managed to fulfil them, despite ending last season as the joint Golden Boot winner.

''We will be taking up the option on his contract but, having had chats with him, I understand he wants to get first-team football,'' added Ferguson. ''It is something we need to consider at the end of the season. For a player of his age and his ability it is disappointing for him that he is not getting first-team football.

''We will look at the end of the season but until then, he remains at United.''

Ferguson confirmed Berbatov is again set to miss out aginst Bilbao as United look to overturn a 3-2 deficit from last week's home encounter, saying: ''He could play tomorrow but I have good options in terms of front players with Javier Hernandez, Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney.''

Gee we've been spineless in Europe this season. Credit to Bilbao, but man is this disappointing.

Going out this morning is not disappointing but the manner of our performance was.

Hopefully this shows we need to spend over the summer to be back amongst Europe's elite again.

But hey I would rather win the title than Europa every day of the week.

Hopefully City get through and last another round or 2 and we go on to lift #20!

Yeah, the performance was disappointing. You could clearly see that Bilbao wanted it more. They deserved it.

Anyone think City took it lightly considering they knew we were out?

Wolves 0 - 5 Man Utd

Jonathan Evans (21)
Antonio Valencia (43)
Danny Welbeck (45+1)
Javier Hernandez (56, 61)

4 points clear of City

thought Tony V was just going to turbocharge into the net. What a run for his goal!

No, we gave it everything in the second half to try and make it through the tie.

Anyway, just looked and seen that United are currently on track for their highest points tally in history (including 40/42 games season).

22 points from your last 9 matches and you would have matched the 92 points you got in 93/94 (42 matches).

Pretty phenomenal really, and would leave us needing 26 from 10 to bring it down to goal difference.

Onto Fulham!

Just hope that scouse **** Danny Murphy isn't playing. Bastard always manages a few against us. :p
