This transfer window is quickly turning into a horrible one.

Depay has been the only transfer I've really rated highly. Oh and Schneiderlin.

Not sold on Bastian yet.


Absolute disgrace the way the club is going to leave things a day out from the season. We're gonna lose two world class talents with no replacement and here we are talking about becoming a powerhouse again.

Not happy at all to be honest.

Agree, im not a happy fan aswell, our deals should all be done, the players who were leaving, should be already gone, we start the season tomorrow ffs and theres so many question marks surrounding the squad overall.

Now we wait for us to implode in the first few games, for the club to realize we need to purchase more players, then spend 300% more than we should on shite players

Putrid, thankgod Geelong put on a nice show earlier, because this was rank.

Take the 3pts and run, but signings are needed.

Darmian/Smalling tied for MOTM for me.
Darmian was unbelievably good in his first game.
Romero surprised me. His distribution overall was good, shot stopping was good. We can work with him.
Schneiderlin was a bit shaky but will get better. Hardly noticed him but that's the type of player he is.
Schweinsteiger was ok. Too early to say anything about him. Carrick should play majority of the games still. Carrick-Schneiderlin-Herrera/Schweinsteiger would be my preferred midfield.
Interesting to see we did play a 442 with free roaming and interchanging. I don't expect to see us utilise this tactic all season though, perhaps just against the top 6 type teams who are capable of having long spells of possession.
I'm very happy with the 3 pts and will sleep well tonight dreaming about Darmian - my boy

It was one of those slow zombie passing games where we sat back and kept possession after the goal. Darmian the best of the new signings. Good game to miss

Very slow build up play, not many chances created, our first shot on target came in the 64th minute. Was no spark in the game at all.

Darmian was superb though, great signing. Romero did well, Smalling was great and Memphis worked into it.
