Fantastic return to the track today in the Belmont Newmarket.

Burdened with 60kg & missing some vital lead up work due to some bog tracks, it was a top performance.

He ran a string of unlucky 2nds last prep, a couple due to some shite rides form Childs.

Look out Melbourne, the Big M is on his way over & I am tipping whoever beats him in the Cox Plate will win :thumbsu:

Never been one to back horses in a race in early markets but jumped in to Marasco @ $11 for the Cox Plate and watched yesterday just hoping to see him work home well but he put that race to bed in 3 strides carrying 60kg and only real good ones can quicken like that with a big weight.

It was just criminal to see him get beaten in a couple of group 1s last spring due to a combination of G Childs and drawing the car park but logic said he simply had to be a better horse this campaign due to being so lightly raced and even if he only improved 10% he still would be the best horse in the country.

Hope its the start of a big spring

Yes great run. Put paid to the others with ease.

Now into $6 with TAB Sportsbet which is crazy when the race is likely to include Miss Finland, Haradsun, Pompeii Ruler and El Segundo, and may include Vengeance of Rain and other quality internationals. Your $11 is a truer price. How do you think he'll go at the Valley?

Looking forward to the Liston in 2 weeks. Not sure who he'll be up against but I presume Pompeii Ruler will be one.
