No I don't think so. Right now, West is apparently still in contention for round 1 and then Hmac for round 2 so will be hard seing Blicavs staying in the side while these 2 are there unless something else happens. Vardy should also be available in the first month so I think he would be a couple gamer while you wait to see Leuenburger, Sandilands or Nick Nat options become available.
Ok, nevermind that tactic. And apparently now I just read that Leuey is good for round 1. I think I'm just going to have Cox, Leuey, Rowe and Currie now. Can't see Blicavs staying in.

Well I got Blicavs as R2 right now because I want to see what happens with Luey, see if his body holds up or gets the vest etc.

I am going with 3 rookies now. Rowe, Currie, Blicavs. At least Blicavs or Currie will play once a week, but if all goes wrong, I can swing in Dean Cox, then put Macaffer on my field in my forwardline (I have no rookies on my field in my forwardline in my normal team).

Don't want to toot my own horn but I think I have it all worked out.

Why does everyone think Currie will play, why does everyone think Rowe will play, why does everyone think Daw will play, why does everyone think Witts will play why, why, why!

Although I know if I play it safe with a Cox and Maric pairing here guys above will probably dominate the first 10 weeks!

You can hedge your bets and have Maric and Cox in your side along with Rowe Currie and Blicavs (not all in the ruck ) and have lots of options. .... including trading out any of the rookie options after rnd 2......

Well Trent West is looking good for round 1 (touch wood) so at most Blicavs will be R2. Or we may still go Walker for a pinch hit. So either way, it doesn't look good for Blicavs in your SC teams.

Rookie selection is always based on actually being named. He'll be on my radar as a downgrade target if he doesn't make the cut rnd1.

Do you really think that all Geelongs rucks are going to go down again at once this year though mate?

Can't see it happening. ;)

I don't think that all of the rucks have to go down. What ever happened to a player being selected in their own right.

Right now it looks like Hmac and Vardy are out.....

I guess what I'm trying to say is as long as there's two of H-Mac, West, Vardy, Simpson around that I can't see him ever getting a game this season. Two of those guys will always be picked ahead of Blicavs.

He was drafted to Geelong in 2011 but it was only the middle of last year before he really decided to play footy.
He was in the top 5 to represent Australia in the Olympics in the 1500m but didn't quite make it.
So he's 200cm and can move.
And breaking into the geelong side wouldn't be easy.

I think alot of people will be changing Currie for Daw come this time next week.

Scott has said he's only playing 1 ruckman, and whilst he's had a good NAB Cup, Goldstein will play ahead of Currie.

Is Daw ahead of Currie? Who else will give Goldstein a chop out?

They aren't competing for the same spot.

Daw will be played forward, giving Goldstein a chop out in the ruck when he needs it.

Scott has already confirmed it's Goldstein or Currie, not both.

Daw really should be FWD/RUC, he will next year anyway.

Blicavs has a leg up on all geelongs rucks at the minute west/vards/Hmac all comming back from injury no match fitness at all while monster dawson is on long term injury list.while dirty bathie was left out with no rubber duckie.

Whatever he makes, he'll be more than 115k a round 4. Happy to spend a trade in him and make some cash

Not if he doesn't play in rounds 2 and 3.

He has a BE of 21 if the first week he gets above that but misses the next two he will go up based on being above the 21 needed

A player actually needs to play 3 games to get the 3 game moving average for price rises. His price will only change after he plays 3 games. If he plays round 2 and 3 on the bench for zero what you say might be true.

Hope you're playing in the BF Club cup.

Not going anywhere near Blicavs. Come round 3 there will be a hoard of people of trade him on seeing a BE of -??? but he won't get a game after that.
