As we know Coughlan has been delisted by the tigers. Do you think he could be a player we could take a risk on and us pre season draft pick on?
I think he is worth a risk, offer him a 1 year deal and see how he goes. We need a tough in and under player that can rotate though our midfield. I know him persoanally as he comes to my cafe every morning, and he is a wonderfull down to eath guy also.
I think it is worth the risk..

For mine, I think it has merit. But he'd have to tick a hellavalot of boxes before we'd consider him. He'd have to prove to the club he's got back the wheels in the legs, cause there's no doubting the kid's desire.

If he could blitz Steele Sidebottom in a 2km time trial, I'd stand up and take notice.

I reckon we've got enough recycled players atm, but I'd cop Corrie out, Coughlan in -- reckon most posters would too.

Lack of foot speed would be a concern. Our midfield next year will possibly include Pendelbury, Beams and Sidebottom, all players who are not overly quick. For balance, I don't thinkl we can afford another.

i think we have enough pace on the outside with Leon, Wellingham....

pace is overrated for an inside player... what we need is someone who can get their hands to their ball first (i'm sick of seeing opposition midfield running the ball out without us touching it time and time again).. coughlan could fit this description with a full pre-season under his belt

If his body gives him half a chance then he could really reward a team that takes a punt on him.

Ill be barracking for him to make a comeback next year.

He doesn't lack leg speed at all. I watch him pretty closely and he still has what it takes to play AFL footy. His last game against the eagles was super.. One thing he definately has is heart, he has been knocked out many times by injury, but still he gets up and battles away. Its worth a one year gamble, if it works it works if it doesn't simple.. More advantages of having him then not.

i have watched coggs play a few games for coburg then another 3 games for the tigers & i think the game has passed him by.

looks at around vfl level if his hamstrings/knee,s stand up
never really had speed & withe the speed of todays game,s where all mids flood back and zone. he was found wanting.

if ever there was a player/club perfect match it would have to be
shane tuck this guy is a machine and goes all day 30 possesions all day
& alot of contested ball.

Stay away.

His body has failed him.

I may get burnt for syaing this but I'd be interested in Tenace.

Geelong will need to move some players on and he would be acquired very cheap IMO.

Will only be turning 25 next season and can definitely add some serious pace to our team with his ability to run, carry and break the lines.

Disposal is a worry, however, he would be a better upgrade on BJ IMO.

Why would we want a mild upgrade on BJ when we can go for a major upgrade?
I don't like the idea of punting on a recycled player who has never shown anything at senior level.
I went to the Pies/Richmond game this year, and Shane Tuck while he got a bit of the ball, he looked terrible when he had it. He made some shocking decisions, putting team mates under huge pressure when he passed the ball to them. He also did nothing really good.

Coughlan on the other hand is a B&F winner. He has shown he has the class. He theoretically could get back to being a very good player. I wouldn't mind taking a punt on him at all. Piss Corrie off ASAP, what a waste of 60k he was.

We'll be trading for a shit player so we can upgrade marginally on one of the shittest players in the AFL.

Tenace is a terrible footballer.

you base that on 1 game that you seen him in which the whole team was shit, i went to the geelong/pies game and davis was terrible doesnt mean he is a crap player.
cant base an opinion on 1 game of football when the guy has been great for nearly 3 years know.

My Mum and her partner are Tigers supporters, and have been Player Link sponsors for around 10 years.
I have been to almost every Pies/Tigers game in that period, and seen a shitload on TV. I keep a close eye on them because when I was young, my Mum took me to all the family days etc trying to swing me over to the dark side, and I still have a bit of a soft spot for them.

Shane Tuck has never ever ever been "great", let alone great for 3 years.
Has has shit disposal, is selfish and lazy.
No thanks :thumbsd:
