Surely if the only footage they have is the shit channel 7 took maybe they have a chance? Unless the umpire was close on the scene, it could be argued as open hand for example. Who knows, maybe the crappy channel 7 coverage will be good for something this year after all.

Not too much in it, although i think it actually had the effect of switching Little Gaz 'On' He did it all after that incident. If McVeigh was an Eagle or a Swan, he'd get off though.

Fletchers report is bloody ridiculous. How can he get reported for that crap. IF that is a report then the dude who raked Johns in the ear then the dude can punch Llaycock in the back of the head during a mark should both be up as well.


On a side note i wouldnt mind if Essendon could get some of those non free kicks in the forward line that were paid against Mark Johnson. And how long can wuginsky hold the ball, try and break through a pack with players hanging off him before it is holding the ball. I thought it was only Judd and Kerr who got 5 seconds to dispose of the ball.

I too was frustrated at the length of time players were allowed to hold the ball until the last quarter when all of a sudden holding the ball was back in !

Gary was holding his throat, so either he was faking for a free (which is fine so long as he has the aggots to say so to the tribunal) or the footage is very inconclusive.

But seeing as the ump reported him on the spot, it could be based on the umps report, which is bad news, they love seeing players go down.

That would make the 2nd week in a row we have lost a player due to Channel 7's ridiculously poor TV coverage.

But honestly what he did was far far less than two Geelong guys making head-high contact with Laycock then Johns (or was it Johns then Laycock) in a row on the wing

yeah there was also a nice swing to the throat that i am pretty sure it was Milburn who threw as well. WE scored a free for it at the time but obviously when they go through the footage they only filter for Essendon colors.
Again they get pumped by the umpires and the tribuneral will screw them once more. I reckon should do a Judd and just poke someones eye out instead.

I think i have figured out how the umpires umpire against Essendon too.
If it is Essendon scrutinise every rule to the letter of the law and try and penalise them. If it aint then unless it it blatently obvious try and find something that the Essendon player might have done to get the free kick and penalise them for that.
