Oh so you did have something to say? Not speechless after all? Why not say it the first time?
Maybe they might be pissed the club bring in someone who's never played the game to play their role.
Like any old unko can play ruck? Pretty insulting if you ask me

From memory Witts was 'like any old unko'. Hardly insulting to them that we bring in a yank. Their only concern will be will he go past them in the long run.

Derek Hine said in the interview that he has the athleticism to play in a variety of roles. He acknowledged considering his height the most logical position for him is ruck, however with his exceptional athleticism for a player of his size he could play key forward. So his role is not locked down. I personally believe that Grundy and Witts would not be offended, they are the ruck duo for this great football, the biggest in the land. Why would they be threatened by having a speculative pick, who mind you does have a unique skill set and sporting background, who's never played the game? If Cox works out he works out, but I don't think he should be pigeonholed just yet.

Does anyone know how old he is? I think the problem with our last American was when he came over he was to old. He was still developing when he should have been in his prime.

He is born in 1991 so he is 23.

Shae was 26 when he came to the Pies

Ok so he will need 3 - 4 years you would say to develop. so thats 26 - 27. Hence a player still in their prime.

That is when Ruckman come into there Prime

I am Guessing 2 and Half Season to he can Play very well

I don't see why Witts or Grundy would be offended. Unless most AFL ruckman think that the club should be completely vulnerable should they get injured and carry no depth in the ruck department (not that Cox will even be up to being depth for a few years at least)

They won’t be Offended. They would see the Club just doing there best to get the Best Players to the Club

Just watched that video TD and he moves incredibly well for a bloke of that size,as I see it nothing ventured nothing gained and I can see where they would think he does need to be keyholed into a set position.

WE GOT BIG COX!!!!

Which is always a good thing.:drunk:

No - we got even BIGGER COX!!!

Gee he needs to basically sleep with the pill though - can't handball or kick to save his life, but his agility at ground level is the best I've ever seen from a bloke that tall.
