Yarran should never have played. Kreuzer should never have played.

Casboult or Rowe would have got round the ground much easier than big Tractor today. Why have them on the list otherwise?

Secondly, why play Chris Yarran when he has a history of pinging the hammy early in matches and came off with tightness the week before? It was a foregone conclusion.

You could see it since the selections were released, it simply made no sense. McEvoy alone would've taken more constested marks than our whole side up until 3QT.

The Yarran choice is so bad too, just obvious in retrospect.

Grow some balls MC, give Bell, Menzel & Buckley a go. Simpson and Robinson are stuck in 1st gear and need a wake up call in the NB. 3 rucks has never worked as a gameplan.

The worst part is you'd think there's going to be several changes based on performance and several more out of necessity. I'd be amazed if Jamo pulled up next week, Yarran looks set to miss, Ellard injured again. There's going to be perhaps 6-7 changes to a game that looked winnable two weeks ago.

Gibbs and Carrazzo to come back but the reserves didn't play meaning we'll be selecting blind in a sense. Not a good thing at all.

It's nice that for most of those changes there is probably an equal amount of quality in both groups. Bad part is how much better it would be if all 10 or even 8 were all playing together.

There was some weird MC choices, I think they obviously identified that there was a height advantage to be gained from playing 3 Talls but failed to factor in that Kreuzer was underdone, Warnock is a pure ruck man and Hampson just struggles in all areas. Waite should be really disappointed in himself for forcing Kreuzer to play basically..

I really hope that we go after a quality tall in the free agency this year. I think
MM game plan is starting to work but would be on another level if you could structure around 2 tall forwards and a 3rd tall in the Breust/Black mould.

If Warnock can hold his own as #1 ruck then serious development needs to go into Kreuzer as a FF. They can't play a Cox/Natanui system so I have no idea how they're going to figure this out..

I think MK will be better for the run, but were we going that poorly without him, if a FWD goes out put a FWD back in. Rowe or Cas.

Loopy handballs always gives time for an opposition player to get in and tackle.

I didn't mind Cachia's game but I worry about how Simpson and Robinson keep been so unreliable in the big games.

Edit: At this stage I would not be against having Waite and Cas as our key forwards with Warnock or Kreuzer as the lone ruck man. Warnock obviously is a great tap ruckmen and was great in the clearances around the ground. Kreuzer taps aren't as good but his work around the ground is the best out of the three.

Kade Simpson had 12 disposals...what do we do with him?

His role in the team was basically given to Kane Lucas this year. He's having trouble with accountability and is still adjusting. It may very well be the case that Lucas is dropped and Simmo finds himself playing outside on the wing again.

Having said that he has to learn to adapt or I really think he's going to have some problems. When a new coach comes in there's always rises and falls and I think Simpson has been the one to struggle with the new system and how that has related to his game in the past.

Mitch Robinson needs to stop having hissy fits whenever he doesn't have the ball handed to him on a platter. He probably hasn't realised that he is in fact the worst i50 kicker or shot at goal than any other. Does so much good but attitude last week when Hammer didn't handball and at Kreuzer today was not on.
