Swans v Lions - danger match, in my view for the swannies. Most people, including their own supporters, are writing off the Lions. However, Subi still has a lot of experience and quality. Pickett and Cockie are 2 big ins for Subi. As is Spaanders and Davis for Swans. Lammie out :( and Robinson out is a bigger :(. Sad to see Robbie Forrest do a knee, hope he makes a full recovery.

Notte on Campbell could be interesting, despite the lack of love for the big Kiwi from his new club's supporters, if he gets on top he can be damaging. With the Lions forward line, I think the mids will have to kick a lot of goals for them to win, or Campbell or Martin have an absolute day out. Swans will need to take the same run and tackling game they took to Shark park last week to get over the top of the Lions. However, if there's a chance to break the hold that Subi have over Swans in the last 5 years, then this is it. Swans should win comfortably.

Late change has Cameron Boddy making his debut for the Swans today, according to the Worst.

Great win by the Lions, finally showing some good form. :thumbsu:

By the way, from a personal point of view, these match threads aren't really working. I reckon this board would be better off having one thread for all the matches in the round rather than one thread for each game.

Geez Swans got absolutely smashed in the 3rd qtr, 7 goals to nil.. Was there a decent breeze to one end out there today?

No breeze, ran out of legs.

Do you mean like the pre-match type of write up? No one gets on those to say much. Explain to me what you mean, because I sort of agree that there are a lot of shy, retiring and bashful types on this board. :)

I mean one match thread for all matches in the round (i.e one thread to cover all four games or however many games there are in the round). Perhaps going back to a pre-round preview and then using that thread as the match thread for every game in the round would be a better idea because these other threads for each game aren't getting a lot of traffic. It's also difficult to post during a WAFL game too as there is only one game per round on TV so maybe one thread for each round of games would be a smarter approach.

OK, we'll give that a go next weekend, for the Anzac Round. So we'll do the write up in one thread and then add the team lists Thurs night? And let the banter flow. Done.
