Very, very, very good today.

I reckon one thread would have been sufficient though. Cam beat you to it Gav. :p

So why are you posting on this one? Besides, who said this was a Headland thread?

A comparison because a few posters suggested it.

Headland V Webster.

Easily Healdand's best game and he needs to perform at his best more often. BUT he is dangerous, and he is a matchwinner. Have a look at our inside 50's.

Webster had a good solid game, kicked a few goals, and definitely in the best players in the first half. How often in his career do you think he will be in our best players, let alone have a claim to being a matchwinner?

Soft frontrunner Gav.
25 possessions, 2 goals, 9 inside 50's, great tackling.

S-O-F-T...

lol.

In the first quarter where the game was a real contest, Headland was the difference between the teams. No skill errors, whereas around him team-mates were turning the ball over. His inside 50's were inspirational, and resulted in goals. Then in the third quarter where Melbourne showed character and had a crack, Headland made a significant impact.

Macca played a huge role as well IMO. He won the ball inside, and his tackling was superb. Carved it up in the start of the third quarter then was taken off, I think Melb won the next 4 centre breaks!

Headland, McManus and Hasleby all had their best games in a very long time. Hopefully they all play well against a much more accountable crows lineup next week.
