Been following this kid in the news quite a fair bit and thought he would've been picked up in the National Draft. Reading alot of threads regarding him alot of people thought he would be picked up top 10-20, why didnt he get selected even at a draft where KPP's were hard to come by. I heard some reports he could only play one postion and these days you have to be able to play multiple postions.

Why wasnt he selected and will he get picked up in the Pre-season draft?

If Kangas take Majak Daw, we may take him in the PSD. That being said, Knights said he's keen to draft a player with experience.

Yeah I would LOVE Daw(hes also an Essendon supporter :p) or Panos but I highly doubt its going to happen. We will be drafting a mature age player for sure.

No one I guess, but you cant' help but feel a little extra for the kids that get to play out their boyhood dreams for the club they supported.

Zaharakis.

Kicks the winning goal on ANZAC Day. Always wore #5 and #18 playing for his teams growing up. A dream childhood -> professional debut run.

Dogs just picked him.
I'm stoaked.

Good pickup. I would've preferred we took him instead of rookie listing Playfair. Why not take a young forward, stick him in reserves, teach what he needs and use him once Bradshaw retires in 3 years. I just can't get my head around taking a 26 year old whose body has never been right, and he wasn't crash hot anyway. But I must have faith in the management.

Murphy was a North supporter.
I'd be amazed if Gibbs was though. He grew up with Glenelg blood running through him.

There must be something else wrong with him if he moves from expected top 20 in the national draft to midway through the rookie draft.

Gibbs was a North supporter, thats why he wasn't greatly fussed when the crows didn't get him under father/son even though his parents were keen crows supporters.

Yeah that was the huge fuss with the Crows. Pissed off they couldn't get him but he couldn't give a rats and seemed very keen on moving to Melbourne.

Gibbs was definitely a North supporter but anyway...

Looks like BigFooty got this one even more wrong than Gourdis a couple years back.

He was never really expected to go top 20 - even second round would have pushed it.

lol. He's got two years left tops. Getting too long in the tooth, his body won't hold up much longer.

On another footy site a poster with with mates that are North Adelaide players said his work ethic was very poor. Wasn't so keen on the hard yards at all.

You never know with these things but given he was the equivalent of pick 135 there must be something to it.

We'll get Big Bad Barry on his case. :)
