hi folks this fella has joined in preseason with the lions. what sort of player is he and why did he get the chop from you boys ?

He was with us for 5 years and hasn't played an AFL game.

He is tall and built well but he is not much of a footballer at AFL level. Doesn't know how to use his bulk, has a questionable disposal. Not great one on one. Looks like a real KPP but plays like a flanker. THat would be OK if he had the pace to play as a flanker at AFL level.

I would be very surprised if he was drafted by the Lions. I don't think he is up to AFL standard.

Nice guy apparently, punctual, solid if unspectacular SANFL player, a bit injury prone.
Won't be picked up.

Actually, we delisted him twice....so I wouldn't think there is much chance for him.

Great player. Very unlucky to have been delisted.

If Matthews doesn't pick him up them the Lions should have the courage to sack him & appoint someone with a better eye for talent like Tony Shaw as coach.
