If we go by AFL apps match ups the player actually kicked 20% of the oppositions goals. I did not watch the game.

Lol at thinking 'defender' means you never get near the ball. And it's not exactly like he plays FB on a key forward.
Look at the best defenders in the game, and you'll see they all make a real and noticeable impact on the game.

First, number of goals is not everything. If the other player gets a bunch of the footy and impacts the game, or beats DBJ at the contest, that does not mean DBJ wins just because they didn't get any goals.
Secondly, Mitch Robinson had 25 touches and 2 goals, and was probably one of the best for Brisbane! lol and in a thrashing against witches hats too. How inspiring of Nancy Burnt-Jocks.
