As much as I would have liked to see him rubbed out for next week, it did look like more impact on the body than anything else, that being said, plenty of people were rubbed out last year for similar.....
Some commonsense from the tribunal this year??
lol can't believe I just said that, the coin probably just landed the right way up for crouch. Anyway bring on next week, hope its a good game.

He hit him on the shoulder while going for the ball. Common sense prevails after all! Was a good bump mind you..

Looked bad as Waite played for the free.

I think there was no convincing footage that he got him in the head (which I don't think he did) and if Waite had to give evidence, we know what he would have said. so no case to answer.

I think crouch is a bit lucky. Looks like he was lining up Waite from a few steps out. Probably would've got Waite in the head but for Waite's last minute turn to protect his body

If you decide to bump and not tackle you always run the risk however in this case there was no contact made to the head so no case to answer

Can someone explain why his TOG was so low (67%)?
It is my belief that he still doesn't have the tank that is big enough to last 80-85% of game time in the midfield. Matt Crouch has improved a LOT over the preseason but this is his first, real, uninterrupted preseason. He is still another full preseason away from being able to play for longer periods at a high level in the midfield. We are now managing his time on ground to make sure he is effective while he is on the ground. Once that tank gets bigger, he will average 30 possesions and be even more damaging player than he is now.

He was brillaint around the stoppages against North.

That's rubbish, he bumped waite legally (not in the head) to make some room to collect the footy, which he did successfully. Players have been doing it for 150 years. It was only paid a free and reported as the ump was fooled into thinking waite was collected in the head, due to waite staging for a free. End of story!

As I've said, I'm not saying he's lucky to get off without penalty. I'm saying he's lucky Waite turned just prior to contact as I think crouch could have been in trouble otherwise.

What happened to old mate who tried to kick Lynch in the head? Rhetorical question of course because nothing that happens against a Crows player is worth looking at.

Unbelievable. No, sorry, very believable. After all it is the VF...er AFL.

He didn't try to kick him in the head, he actually made contact. I don't care how slight the impact, it should be punished.

Piss weak AFL.

Head to Head Ollie Wines and Matt Crouch will be a good battle and a preview of showdowns for the next 10 years.
