Last year I was impressed with Spangher's contribution to the forward line. Clearly this has been our downfall this season. I'd love to see Spangher back in the forward line but with Walsh and TDL both in I really didn't know how he would fit in as both are vital to a functioning forward line. I think for Spangher to fit back in he needs to add another string to his bow. I for one would like to see him fill the forward/second ruck role. I have never been an LRT fan so there would be no love loss to see him dropped to make way for Spangher. He is the same height as LRT and and carries an extra 3kg. With that in mind I believe our best forward set up would be:

Ried, Walsh, Goodes, Spangher, TDL, McGlynn.

Goodes can rotate with Bolton, Spangher to rotate with Mumford & McGlynn to rotate with Parker.

Any thoughts?

LRT has another string to his bow in that he's a certified capable defender. Nonetheless I'd like to see Spanker in the team as he was adding a lot last year. He seemed to gel very well with Reid and they rarely got in each other's way. Perhaps if Goodes is fit enough to stay in the midfield for most of his game we can squeeze them all in. Otherwise I won't play favourites and whoever is doing the job well should get a start
