MATTHEW ELLIOT CLASS

Goodwin probably would qualify to represent Australia since he lives here full time and holds an Australian passport, however he says he won't return playing international cricket with Zimbabwe and would prefer to stay in Perth with the Warriors.

But I think his chances of making the Australian side are very slim.

Goodwin started the season without even being an automatic selection for WA. With Katich, Martyn and Langer absent he gets a spot. If/when these players return, he should retain his spot, now that his form will put him ahead of Ryan Campbell. So the first team batting six would be Hussey, Goodwin, Langer, Martyn, Moody, Katich with Gilchrist at 7.

Sorry about the name calling BUBBA, I realise being called an idiot can have a devastating effect on a Victorian's psyche, regardless of what you say. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on Matty and Greg, as our opinions differ greatly. What I don't appreciate is the outlandish and premature drivel you write about Victorian cricketers.

Topics such as "Hodgies the man" and "Matthew Elliot Class", are really annoying for me, a South Aussie, because of your blatant Vic bias and I often feel compelled to respond, sometimes harshly and in turn I show my SA bias, though more in retaliation of your statements.

Your are of course free to post whatever opinions you have, whatever nonsense you deem fit for this board and I will continue to rebuff, where ever and whenever I can.

BTW, thanks Darky for your unbiased thoughts on this subject.

Ant does my Victorian bias really show? Who would of thought? Ha ha, i will keep posting drivel and would love for you to keep responding in kind. PS. i have been called worse than an idiot in my time, but that probably doesnt surprise you. By the way great games from Warne and Harvey last night

3 seasons from memory, his form was good but he always looked more at home in the SA side. He was also unfortunate to cop an eye injury in a club net session at Carlton during what I think was his last season here.
He had already established himself as a star at Shield level by the time he came to Victoria. I trust your comment was tongue in cheek, Bubba!

Yeah, youve got me there Darky, still even so i do like watching him bat, always aggressive always looking to get on top of the bowling. In a different era im sure he would of been a regular top class Test player, but i guess you could say that about a few guys, Siddons and Law come to mind. Cheers

Agreed - Boof is a legend!

well elliott just rocks so if hes not in the ashes squad there idiots ok thats all im say and jubjub u suck ass like talkin south park how old r u

speaking of Boof....

the one thing you guys seem to be overlooking is the tour of India which omes up before the Ashes.

I would rate Lehmann as one of the top 2 players of Spin in the Country (behind Mark Waugh) because he moves his feet quickly and decisively.

He should go to India and bat at 3 or 4.

Good knock once again. But even after two one-day centuries, who does he replace out of the one-day team

?

And before that incites a barrage of Victorian parochialism, may I add that I have mentioned before I am a fan of his so I don't consider myself one of the "knockers" you referred to!

Elliot's all class Bubba, if he doesn't go on and play 100 Tests and score 8,000 I'll be very surprised. What a top player.... I say drop M. Waugh and put him into the team. I'll say it one more time, just for you BUBBA, Elliot's all class.

Anyway seriously i know he hasnt got an opening in either the Test team or One dayers yet, i just think hes name should be called for the touring parties and first cab off the rank for an available opening spot. But i was right he is all class
