Opinions vary. I have never forgotten Matthew saying to the entire playing group when he got the captaincy that "im not going to waste my time". Well sorry Matt but you are! You are a star but you cant do it all by yourself. The team is a complete rabble atm!

Winderlich musn't be 100%, you would never see him being so hesistant and even get run down by a big man like Jolley. And Gus, was our leading possession getter which is good, but probably turned it over the most times too. It's quite odd really, he used to be a good kick without finding the ball but now he's a shocking kick but is finding the ball. What i've noticed is sometimes he's trying to be a little to precise and isn't kicking through the ball, using little dinky kicks.

Anyway back to the topic, Lloyd found it tough and again the forward delivery wasn't too good. I wouldn't think he was our worst, but you've gotta feel sorry for him.

Well he's a tall poppy. It's so lame though - anyone who watches modern footy knows how important the midfield is, both in winning the ball and at applying pressure. Ours might be young and inexperienced and will hopefully soon improve, but at the moment it's completely shit. Makes life up forward (and down back) way too hard.

Lloyd could still win a Coleman at Geelong, Hawthorn, Adelaide etc.

I didnt see the game, but I imagine the expectations of Lloyd are so much higher because of seasons past and how well he has perfomed.
Once the bar gets set that high, thats the standard people expect.

Was quiet today, only had the 8 touches. Seems to play better in the free flowing games, still has a young body and will find it tough playing a physical game against a team full of big bodied players like Sydney

I was getting little crackle sounds on 3 aw yesterday so i changed to mmm i lasted ten minutes it was so boring and lack luster. Channel 7 have a better commentry team then mmm had yesterday.

Just one question did we get robbed by the umps yesterday? The ammount of times i heared that should of been a clear free to Essendon and ohhh dear i don't know if that was there for Sydney was unbelievable.

According to Rex they got their 1st two goals from frees they didn't deserve the 2nd one in the back should of been paid to us. And Jetta was clearly taken high from point blank range and it wasn't paid.

I'd perservere with Monfries I think there's a bigger upside to him. I hope he bulks up to give a bit more muscle around stoppages... then he may not feel as pressured around said areas. Knights has finally given him some consistent time in the middle and he's done ok, just ok... as you say he's found the ball but he must do more with it... he is a naturally talented played with what I thought were silky skills prior to this year, where has that gone???
