Ive always believed the whole squad should get the medal - even if its made differently to the ones presented on the day

Seeing Matty Stokes just enhances why I think that

you cant win a Premiership if you cant make the Grand Final

Just saw that on the TV.
Super impressed with the maturity he's shown in a difficult time. He could easily have had a dummy spit this week but he's kept it together and shown great support for his teammates.

People have had a go at him this year for the way he has been playing his football.

I could not be more proud of the way he has gone about himself the last two weeks.

He pulled out of the prelim saying he was not going to be up to it, I think it would have been because of what happened the previous year when he played in the grand final under an injury cloud and did not want a repeat performance.

He put the team above himself knowing he could very well have been giving up his spot in the team by not playing in the prelim.

He could not have been any more supportive of him team mates during the week.

agreed. before this week he was one of the players that i thought might be offered for trade to ease the cap, and was pretty easy with the idea because i thought we could live without him and get pretty good value for him, win win at a glance. but the way he handled himself this week really makes me want to keep him around the club. the maturity he showed and most importantly the genuine willingness to put the team far above himself to matty stokes

Handled the whole week with such a air of class that is very rare to see of a kid as young as he is. Seemed genuinely 'stoked' with the win, and looked very nervous in the stands throughout the game. Good on him.

Mark Blake could learn a lesson on Humility from Matt. This is the way to behave on missing out on a grand final berth if you're a true team man.
