The 21 year old 192cm GWS KPF out of contract this year

Not in the best team so does he come back home to Victoria and seek more opportunities?
We'd take him at the Tiges. Would be nice to have some selection pressure for the forward line.

His old man posted this in reference to North a couple days ago.

A Corr replacement, maybe? I worry he's a bit undersized to be a viable Darling replacement as our third KPF.
I think this kid deserves the right to select where he is traded to

GWS should just let him walk there for a nothing pick

Ok, I'll bite ... how does he deserve that more than any other young player? 15 games in 2.5 seasons is hardly unsurprising for a young key position player, so gws should get the best deal possible for him

Seeing as you are biting
he was drafted when ?
What year is it now ?
Does he have to wait on standbye until Stringer retires

It’s his 4th year …. 15 games in 2.5 seasons since debut …. He’s not a walk up start in any but a shit team … if a shit team wants to grab him, they have the picks to pay for him

Edit: if the tigers want him they have to pay …. They owe us for letting Taranto and Hopper go cheaply

Yes a team will pay
most likely a 3rd rounder at best

You did say 4th year player that cant get a game

owe you for Hopper ?
Maybe have a look how GWS went in dry in that trade

Can’t get a game? He’s played 4 of 7 this season already

And, yes, you robbed us from n the Hopper/Taranto trade

Any idea why they decided to stop playing him in defence? Was it just because of your depth there, or something else?

Wondering whether he might have a second act as a third tall defender.

He’s building nicely as a forward …, leading goal kicker in the vfl 2 years in a row, so seems wasted switching down back

He just needs to keep working on his craft and build the body

Nothing wasteful about being a great defender.

He was one as a junior after all. Even though he's a tad undersized, there aren't many tall defenders who have his combination of leap + skill + composure.

If he became a Wilkie + Sicily hybrid you'd take that every day of the week.

Just wondering if there was something apparent while he was developing in the VFL that made it apparent he was better down forward.

He kicks goals

I don't mean this as a slight on him - just an observation on his exposure - but how often has he kicked AFL goals while matching up against one of an opposition's best two defenders?
doubt hes had the chance very often ... but iirc correctly he has a couple of times

GWS are looking to keep him. Hogan has more chance to leave considering it's reported that he & gws are very far in contract terms giving Max more chances at getting games.

Hogan is just after money (fair enough) and wont leave. Gruz is not staying.
