He has an older brother so you can count him out and brother Jack's playing U16's for Norwood, would need to come on a fair bit on what I've seen to now.

Different kind of player
Is very defensively minded
Think of a highly skilled Jake Kelly and it’s closer to the mark
He's good defensively but once he's won the pill it seems he's keen to get on his bike and run hard straight forward. Nothing like Jake Kelly. That said, I've only seen the highlight reel.
How does he look the goods?
Hence the Jake Kelly with class
He’s not a metres gained player like Smith
That was Jakob Ryan
He's got way more take the game on type of pace than Jake Kelly. Closer to Brodie Smith than Jake Kelly actually.
He reminds me of Andrew Mackie.

Happy to rephrase it as ‘Jake Kelly role but bringing alot more to the role eg class ‘
he’s not much quicker than Jake in a straight line but definitely is and he’s more agile , he brings Jake’s hard to get a kick on defensive skills , Max is elite defensively
I was there the day he kept Sheezel invisible which was rare all year
He’s not really anything like Brodie smith at this stage
Ie doesn’t get much disposal ( Brodie came thru a high disposal mid )
He also doesn’t get many metres gained per game like a Jakob Ryan ( perhaps he may in time )
Just be careful re expectations if solely off highlights reel is all I’ll say , I do think he will develop his offence more in time
At this stage he’s more defence than offence , perhaps in time he could be a Mackie
Will Day reminded me more of Mackie when he came thru
Will looks set to play some wing and midfield at Hawks this year as well as half back

Unfortunately, none of them have his leg.
I’ve seen a lot of Max in different comps. I know exactly what you’re getting at.
Think we need to use a top 25-30 pick and/or trade someone in to replace Smith, hopefully next off-season
That is, if we don't want Dawson playing his role (we shouldn't)
A secondary rebounder like Hinge is perfectly fine

I didn’t realise he was a SA, he’d have to be a prime target. We need to bring in some free agents and save draft capital

Only 187cms, that can’t be right? Thought he was taller than that.
Just won their 2km time trial. Also just received their most improved player and best team-man award. Polled around fourth in their best and fairest from memory. Would be a great pick up if we can get him, especially, as you say, for minimal draft capital.
