Reportable but wouldn't cop much for it you'd think. Typically Mitchell made it look a heck of a lot worse. Good to see Hodge still cheap-shotting as usual (and patting Lonergan on the back afterwards as if he didn't mean it). Please return the favour.

He shouldn't go for that, although he probably will. Good bump, but perhaps a bit far from the ball.

Should work out ok though - a couple of their boys may be in trouble (e.g. Hodge, Taylor, even Buddy), but all ours should be cleared.

What was the report for? Surely not that bump on Mitchell? He got him on the shoulder and it looked Mitchell ricocheted into Ling.

Nothing in it at all.

That's what I thought. There was no head contact from what I could see.

Reports: Simon Taylor (Haw) reported by umpire Ryan for misconduct (kneeing) on Joel Selwood (Geel) in the first quarter.
Max Rooke (Geel) reported by umpire McBurney for engaging in rough conduct on Sam Mitchell (Haw) in the third quarter.
Luke Hodge (Haw) reported by umpire McBurney for striking Tom Lonergan (Geel) in the third quarter.
Andrew Mackie (Geel) reported by umpire McBurney for striking Brent Renouf (Haw) in the fourth quarter.

from the AFL Website.

I thought Mitchell was also reported for his flying elbow on selwood in the first quarter?

If there is vision of Steve Johnson on Hodge i think he may go as apparently it was pretty bad.

If Hodge also includes the fresh air around his head then he'll go, but if you actually need to make contact with a player to be suspended he'll be fine.

Nah not Squiby Sam.It was Simple Simon Taylor for dropping the knee into Selwoods head. The ump said he was reporting him.

How the hell did Max get booked for that bump ?
Hodge might be booked again for the incident with Chappy late in the game.Hodge did seem to suffer a bit of roid-rage tonight.

I missed the incident by about a second and when i looked over Hodge was on the ground. Good news that Stevie didn't hit him haha

It looked from one watch of a replay only that SJ missed. There was intent there though!

Hodge took a fairly steep dive there. Pretty dumb from SJ though - that contact on Stokes was accidental, not really necessary to retaliate.

The only report that will see a suspension is Taylors knee to Selwood, dog act, it was late, unneccassary and just dirty. Rookes shoulder just brushed past Mitchells shoulder and said G'day, Mitchell dropped like the b1tch he is to get a free, Have a look at Rooke face after contact, it was like a fly hit him, didnt react at all, wasnt forceful, throw it out now!!!

There was nothing in the Hodge punch. He was cleverly holding his fist out to where the ball was going to drop (by looking at where Lonergan was going to mark it) in the hope it would hit his arm/fist on the way through.

Reckless yes, intentional no. Deserved the 50 but not the report.

Rooke's report was nothing...should get off. Mackie should get a reprimand.

Umps waaaaay too overzealous tonight. I don't think there'll be anything from tonight...unless this BS prior record comes into it.

The 3 Geelong boys shouldn't have to front up to the tribunal.

Taylor should get time off, the weak knee dropper.

Hodge will probably get a week for the punch but shouldn't, but I think he should go for the head high slide into Chapman on the boundary. Ugly, head high and reckless.

It would have been good if they dedicated one of the 50 replays they showed of the Hodge jab to the Hodge head high contact on Chapman, bloody TV networks. He absolutely crunched right into the top of Chapmans head, no idea where the line is between winning contested ball and duty of care.

The contact made by SJ was very minimal but they way Hodge went down it looked as if SJ had done a Barry Hall and KO'd him!

Most of the reports for the night will be thrown out. Mitchell's reaction was hilarious to this bump.

I agree but the knee to Selwood's head needs to be looked at. Selwood looked like he was targeted.

Rookes H&S - soft
Mackies punch - soft
Hodges punch - soft
