About 10mins into the 2nd qtr, Max Rooke kicked his goal, it was our 7th.

As it went through, he made a sign with both hands, I noticed it live but missed it on the replay today, did anyone catch it or better still know what he was on about

by the way, I love Max Rooke

Considering the state of him from the pics on the Family Day thread, I think we should wait a while before asking him!

I would bet that there are a few sore Port bodies that could give some indication of how hard he played.
 
loved seeing him in the first couple of minutes crash into one of the contests and really welcome port to the granny. great player and very underated.

Rooke is a champion. every contest charged in like a battering ram. no fear, no thought for his own safety - the sort of bloke you would go to war with! made the port "hard" ball efforts look second rate.
i thought both he and kingy played like it was their last day on earth - absolutely uncomprimising.
loved seeing it!!
and cant wait for next year to see hawkins, djekurra, blake, prismall, grima and some of those other gun kids develop! bring on the NAB cup!
the dynasty has begun!!
 
I love this bloke he is the heart and soul of our team. Now its easy to see why we spent the money to send him to Germany. I was worried about our finals campain this season when he was injured. Its not that we couldnt have won the gf without him but the coaches knew that we needed him in there come the business end of the year when things get tough. This bloke would be my first choice to be alongside of me if we went to war. I think he will now get some much deserved recognition from supporters of other teams who probably didnt take much notice of him before. And if there is a way of putting a bet on next years most fearless or courageous player voted by the players themselfs I want to put my house, wife, kids, car, dog and scooter on MAX ROOKE

I agree with fugsy, looks like it has something to do with his ex-moustache, seeing that he shaved it off during the week and all.
 
I watched the GF twice now and still couldn't see his huge tackle on Brogan. When is it in the game?

Cant remember a Brogan tackle, Thurstans is the one i remember, except that Max missed the shot at goal afterwards!
 
Max tackles Brogan in the 1st half. Brogan then gives away a 50m penalty for holding up Max as he tries to take his kick. Max misses shot on goal from 25m.
