Bay garbage aside though, normal contract negotiation dialogue when trying to maximise his next contract... who cares?

He'll remain a Pie, and everyone knows it.

He'de be crazy not to take it, but I'm doubtful he will. The change of language is obviously direction from his manager to maximise contract negotiations. From all reports, we have cap space to chase Mat Rowell, so I can't imagine we wont be able to afford Maynard.

Having said that though, if he does decide to go, I'll thank him for everything he's done for our club, including netting us a band 1 compensation pick.

There's no doubt were not offering Norf level contract, but as someone else said, you need to pay huge overs to get a heart and soul type out of their club, especially when you're norf or saints.
