Just to preface - I'm thinking of getting an AFL Grand Final package this year. I've been wanting to experience an AFL Grand Final all my life, and whether our boys are there or not I'd like to do it this year (as money somewhat allows it).
Any of you folk give me advice on seating? Obviously the higher the category, the cheaper the price. The packages do jump up quite a bit from the cheapest one (which is just under $3k) but if the view is negligible then I'd rather not fork out more, given I really have no interest in attending any of the dinner, breakfast or after game concert events. I'll instead be using my time outside the game to catch up with people I know in Melbourne.
This is the seating on offer: Obviously it's highly likely I'll be at the goal end, it just comes down to tier. I just want a good view of the game.

), but not for best view. I have been in the nosebleed section, 3 rows from the top, and the view is still fine but a little dissociated from the play. If possible, stay away from the 'sunny side'...it was only a problem because 2015 was a killer with temperature, looking into the sun & mostly the result. Also, have a look at club's pregame functions, they can be fun & add to the experience. Good onya for going, grandy is great no matter who plays but go WCE!..good year to be planning it IMHO.
