Gov plays as a key defender and sometimes can play bruise free games where he just reads the play and chops off the high ball. I'm sure he will be fine. You don't miss a grand final for this. The flight over would be the most uncomfortable part whether it's ribs or a cork.

It's a cork - that is a blood clot in the muscle. You can play through it, it's just painful. With an injection he won't feel the pain at all. Sunday will probably be quite painful for him though if it's a bad one

It would hurt far more to not play.

I dont believe in big noting myself on an anonymous forum.But since you insist shoulder that has a tinge of arthritis now ,a knee that aches a bit sometimes and a few head knocks that weren't pleasant at the time but all good, and Im not that old .
McGovern has come up after worse in home and away games .
I watched the replay and the commentators who I think were Bell and some other knob both said -hip pointer they hurt.So thats a good guide..Also the Eagles haven't been anything but staight forward and non deceptive about injurys all year.And they say he will come up.
