for Adelaide Football Club

News
Crows rookie Andrew McIntyre has been upgraded to the primary list.

He replaces injured ruckman Rhett Biglands, who has been transferred to the long-term injury list.

McIntyre, 20, was Adelaide’s first selection at the 2006 rookie draft. The 190cm defender plays for SANFL club North Adelaide.

Does this mean that Ben Rutten is a near on certainty to miss the Sydney game and Andrew McIntyre is his replacement?

Since he has now been up graded I would expect him to get a game this week, I see no reason (and the AFC don’t have a history) in up grading him with out selecting him right away.

In McIntyre

Out: Rutten (leg)

But saying that Mathew Smith and Aiden Parker were up-graded to the main list because the dead line to add a rookie the main list was about to expire?

Weren’t they up graded about round 18 or 19 and done so for a specific reason, to alleviate any potential problems with KPP injuries in the finals?

A rookie cannot be up-graded during the finals, so the AFC had to do it at that time.

It would be a waste of time and money if they upgraded him without playing him so it looks like he will get a debut this week. It will be a tough assignment for the lad.

IYO – is he ready?

yes you're right - that's a history

Yeh don't put him on Hall, he's too big and strong. Jason Roe did play on Hall on debut though after Leppitsch couldn't handle him and I don't think he kicked another goal, he is an ex-Rooster so you never know.......... ;)

If Mad Dog plays on Hall and keeps him goalless then Rutten may find himself lining up for West.

Geez we must have some injury problems if they are recruiting old broken down hacks like Mad Dog. MD, you might be the oldest man in history to make your AFL debut. ;)

Obviously Rutten is in doubt, it could be they wanted to include McIntyre on the emergency list just in case. So there is a chance Rutten could still play. Anyway its obviously a great opportunity for him and Im sure Bass can handle Hall if need be.

My reaction to standing "Big Bussling" would be straight out of the Kane Cornes playbook.............

.

Well done to the young man. Deserves it :thumbsu:

Did others find it strange that he was overlooked in the main draft?

From what I've seen of him, he looks very good.

Kudos to Gets! for his prediction!

Good to see another young gun come off the rookie list:thumbsu:
Can you imagine having to stand on Hall in your first game? After standing on Luke Jericho the week before? WOuld be kind of random.

You beat me to it.
If a 42 year old hack can make it theres hope for a young 50 year old hack-sore:cool:
