It seems that most people believe that Harvs has the job already. Understandable that prospective coaches don't want to waste their time. Having said that, I'd take sumich 100 times over before I even thought about McKenna - he'd destroy this club (and most likely any other club that he inflicts himself on)

I actually felt bad for him, it was that poor. And i hate the guy.

Guys who haven't been the media spotlight for a couple of years can't pull off the kind of blase attitude guys like Sheedy could get away with. Even Cuddles (a top performer in the media) took a couple of years to find his feet. These numbskulls think if they act that way, there will be a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and in reality they are just showing their inexperience.

Part of the charm that comes with Mark Harvey is that he does not try to "perform" for the media set. It seems clear that Harvey has identified the media as the fickle morons that they are.

But you have all these idiots coming though now who think that a good rapport with the media will help to paper over their inadequacies as an AFL coach. At the end of the day, these people get crucified by the same media outlets they were trying to seduce. Cuddles Connoly was probably a prime example of this.

To Harvey's credit he seems to realise that results are far more important than being the golden child of the media whores.
Mckenna is just not cut out for AFL coaching.
