Heard from a mate that Macca has a problem with his foot and may have surgery after mid season break and miss 4-6 weeks? I DO NOT know if this is rumour or fact but am wondering if anyone else knows of this.

It isnt nothing new according to the news, apparently he has had it for quite a while. They are just a bit concerned whether its worth risking it.

Is your mate Mark Aiston?

Looks like we are getting prepared for finals before the magical 13 games;)

IMHO by round 20 we will have nearly all of our squad fit, ready and injury free.

Apparently he gets injections before every game to allow him to run. It's happened before with him too. Hey, better he get it out of the way now than miss the finals!

Don't forget too, that once the break is over, Craigy will be stepping up the training again before they taper off for the finals... this means that with injuries and the extra training, there will be a few danger games coming up.

Holy freaking Moses!
The only positive I can take from our horrible injury run is the fact we're still performing well. If we had've dropped a few games with this injury run one couldn't help but think that our good form last year was only because of a favourable run with injuries. We've done well with our backs to it so far and hopefully we continue to do so. :thumbsu:

The adverrtiser today said he could need surgery if his foot was sore again after this Friday's game. They also said he would only be out for two weeks then.

McLeod wait-and-see on surgery

If McLeod pulls up sore from the Saints' clash on the hard Telstra Dome surface - Reid said he is a definite starter - the Crows will consider an operation in their bye week next week. This would see him miss just one game.

All good people. All good.

Macca may not even require the surgery depending on how he pulls up from the TD. It may be wise for him to have the surgery so he doesn't make it worse and have the possibility of missing the finals. If he does have surgery he'd apparently have 2 weeks off, which means he will miss only one game after the break against Geelong, a team who can't travel and who we are playing at home.

I wouldnt believe anything ten news says, but i know for a fact that he has had this for the last 6 wks, and as far as im concerned Normy can keep on having injections if he keeps on playing the way he has for the past 6 wks! best consistent football since blighty was coach!

Be sad to see Maccas streak come to an end though... something like 150 games without missing due to injury.

On the clubs website tonite they are saying we will play 2morrow nite and if he needs surgery he would miss between one and three matches! maybe a blessing in disguise it wouyld give him a week or so off to, he can refresh a bit!

Macca said on ch9 tonight that his gut feeling was he wouldn't need surgery and his foot was feeling the best it had in a month
