Tatyoon gave Ararat a good run, and haven’t been blown out all year could they do some damage in finals this year?

That was a scary massive flogging by the Demons in today’s second semi. What happened there royboy? Btw thanks for your updates.Penshurst had 6 out, Rentsch J went off with a corked thigh after 10 minutes and took no further part.
Ground conditions were very heavy and favoured the more adaptable side. Ararat kicked two early with a 4 goal wind and that was it. Henry Walsh dominant, Humphrey, Scott etc. They had winners all over the ground. That was a scary massive flogging by the Demons in today’s second semi. What happened there royboy? I cannot see anyone beating them.
I’d suggest there could be a few Ararat players with cases to answer if some incidents are pursued

Game is watchable online by following the MDFL Stalkbook siteThanks royboy for the update. I doubt the rough stuff will get followed up. Today’s match looks interesting .
I think you’d call it a cease fire unfortunatelyWas any of the Eagles rough stuff pursued??
I think most people are. The ground is absolutely Mickey Mouse and the general facilities are pretty good. With essentially 4 Warrnambool sides left in the Hampden League and the Warrnambool & District GF between two neighbouring sides there is a lot of outside interest and I would expect a bumper crowd. Lots of Hampden interest with Wayne Walsh coaching Lismore Derri. The expectation is that Sam will be there to watch younger brothers Henry and Tommy.Looks like a great set up at Mortlake this year. Are people happy the grand final is there this year? Should hold a decent crowd there
Please give us an update if you go to the granny western royboy. Have very found memories of dc Darren and hope the dees get upI think most people are. The thing I noticed last week was that with time on in the Unders and Reserves the boys got very tired at the end of the game and I can guarantee that none of them will have played as big as the DC.
Big ground and a fast track suits both sides in the Senior GF. Different conditions to the 2nd Semi but you would think Ararat would be hard placed to reverse the result. Ararat are a good side and many of their better players had an off day at Willaura, but you would think Lismore Derrinallum win by 5 or 6 goals.
Was it a good venue for a grand final down at Mortlake? Be good to see that ground get used more often thru the yearUtterly dominant both the 1sts and 2nds were effectively over very early. Couple of yellow cards in the 1’s which was disappointing but necessary. The 1’s was a very even team display from a very, very professional team.
I am biased being local but it was perfect. Ground was absolutely spot on and it provides great viewing. Crowd was massive. Without going overboard I would suggest they might look to host the GF there for a bit with other clubs hosting as it is effectively a clean venue. Did not hear any negative feedback at all and a large contingent of outsiders in attendance. Think the gate was up by about $6k.Was it a good venue for a grand final down at Mortlake? It’s a big ground one of the largest from memoryI am biased being local but it was perfect. Ground was absolutely spot on and it provides great viewing. Crowd was massive. Tell me about it…170 x 140 hasn’t got any smallerIt’s a big ground one of the largest from memory
That’s got to be one of the biggest in the state.Tell me about it…170 x 140 hasn’t got any smaller
Put it this way… it has not got any smaller and it lends itself to fast open footy and the quickest way home is still straight up the gutsThat’s got to be one of the biggest in the state.
Certainly would reward the fitter sides
I think that was part of the concept to embrace the whole district.Bravo to Lismore-Derrinallum
Still looks weird seeing them in the old Cressy colours. But excellent wins for the Seniors and Reserves
Hawkesdale have picked up quite a few and should improve. Not sure about Rovers they lost a couple of their top end players to Skipton and I have zero knowledge of the ability of their recruits.Who has some recruiting news across the league?
I've seen SMW announce some promising INS - Key FWD, BACK, Big ruckman and some mids. Mostly out of Ballarat.
Dont know of their quality, but The Rovers made some big strides in the second half of 25 so could be one to watch.
Taty welcoming back Arthur Armstrong.
GW with plenty or new player announcements. Again, dont know of their quality. GW coming from a fair way back.
Ararat - 4-5 out of their seniors from last year (Robertson, Cameron, Hustler etc) and 5 or 6 ins, with a couple of injured players returning..
Good to see Caramut active. When was the last time they played finals? Was it back under Mifsud?Hawkesdale have picked up quite a few and should improve. Not sure about Rovers they lost a couple of their top end players to Skipton and I have zero knowledge of the ability of their recruits.
Penshurst might lose a few, Woorndoo and Caramut have been very active.
Concerns at Bolac and Glen Dunkeld, the latter which has endured a horror off season.
Regardless I think they’re all playing for 2nd but you never know.
