I hate to say it, but I agree with UNIT. She's the reason why Arts students have a bad name (that, plus they're degrees are totally useless).

Pav I can't agree with you on the issue of Arts degrees but since Wittgenstein where philosophy has taken the linguistic turn people think they have to write like they have swallowed a dictionary in order to seem smart. Everything is a "Hermeneutic device", or a "trope" or a simulacrum!!!!

what I hate about the movie show now is that the reviewers are incapable of loving a movie as a fan - its all about its "Stylistic references" and the "pedigree of the filmaker" or whatever "philisophical framework the narrative of the film takes" - even with Margaret and David at least they sometimes enjoy movies just for the sake of it. They are reviews without love or enthusiasm - its like going to the footy with a Statistician

Arts students can usually discern the difference between the possessive "their" and the contraction "they're".

Arts Students are also typically secular, and pity montheistic thinking, whether that god be "Pav" or another (non-Freo) player.

Best film reviewer going around is 'Rolling Stone's' Peter Travers.

Not out to impress anybody with jargon - just tells it like it is.

I've read four-letter reviews of his before:

"A piece of s@#$.'

Having said that, there is something to be said in having twats like Ms Spencer around.

Because nothing unites the Australian film industry like a good dose of 'Spencer-bashing.'

Bloody good summing up of affairs on two fronts there... :thumbsu:

Shouldn't that be monotheistic? :D Also, I'm sure there are many people with Arts degrees that believe in 'one' god.
